Most of our dilemma's are the ones we ALLOW!
Jude~ for some reason, or another, I can't imagine you with your guard down too often...

Hummmmmm, I read this as one allowing or causing a lot of his own problems. How easy it is to be haunted by what we do to ourselves. Enjoyed this one.

Speaking of fish bowls.....now you can have one by your toilet.....yea flush and swim.......

Seriously I enjoyed the raw awareness you have brought to your character, allowing all to see that all one has to do is become aware and then the correct changes can take place. It is easy to let ones guard down. done it and learnt from it and being me, I am likely to do it again. Just paid a price of losing a tooth because I let my guard down.

I guess this relates to poets and writers too

always viewing our dilemma from the outside.
This one I'm still going to continue
To ponder for a few hours!

Yep, we can be sooo happy and invincible in our own bowl, immersed in the comfort of our own warm water, safe behind our protective glass, believing the guy with the line and the hook to be a spook with no power to harm us. Complacency has its price, says the bubbling Frog... or is that Fog... Objectivity even more so. When the heat is on, the battle is ALWAYS subjective: me or them. Nice thought bubbles here, Jude. The twist at the end gave me chills. Those demons are always lurking within and without. Thank goodness there are also angels who watch over us and protect us from those relentless demonic creatures. Excellent and thought provoking write!

When we don't have the ability to change our situation, often we just sit it out, moving to the outside of the circumstance as an observer instead of remaining within it where we can defend our self against it and work to change it. We allow our self to be attacked by the very demons that we have spent so much time chasing from our world; we learn that human frailty affects even us. Nice poem, Jude, I hope you will be feeling better soon.
