This is one of my favorite poems of yours Jude. Words are living things when captured by a true poet's pen. I esp. like these lines

This is a tremendous piece of writing. These images of heat and flames work perfectly to convey the "creative dynamism" which resides deep within the poetic heart. "Transforming into soft diamonds" transcends the laws of physics and opens the imagination to the laws of pure thought and poetry "As clear and pure as thought
Inside a flower of fire." AWESOME!

... ambers and embers, yes. Love the notion of soft diamonds... like dewdrops of thought: pristine yet fluid and reflective as well as magnifying. The flower you speak of is most powerful, especially as a rose between the teeth (my flamenco roots!) Actually, the "smoldering" makes me think how often writers say they are giving of their "dross" or "burn-out" when, actually, to the reader, they are providing out of the refinement of their fallow but fertile crucible. Outstanding composition!
"Words...the Flower of Fire" truly does blossom, giving it time, as it passes over, through and above, cleansing... each and every letter as it then forms itself into this...this creative imagery!

... from the letters J and then a U and most definitely and S and E, together "JUDE", in the a word of names, he sits among the best of poetry, with such diamond cut precision!

They certainly can transform into soft diamonds. For some reason that I cannot put my finger on, your words "Walked upon by the fearless" really hit me. I will have to think on this. I love the strength in this poem.
