~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The thrill of caressing the mysterious design of your nature
Is an adventure of purging through a delicate membrane
Where the unknown separates from the realized
Yet is joined at the nucleus of urge and impulse
Where starry nights inhale the faint scent of twilight
And the sun’s warmth is the advent of anticipation
Where the remoteness of far-off planets
Is comforted by living upon one
Where dreams transform into tangible notions of hardened softness
Skimming across the surface of surging thoughts and liquid desires
Growing into a pliable tissue of awareness
Opening up and moaning with expectation
Once, a few years back, I found a word to describe your poetry, Jude. Only it escapes me for now. Suffice to say that yours is of the highest quality of expression. Very good stuff, indeed.
Anticipating every line, like the discovery of new awareness--Wow! Except the part about purging through a membrane--why am I thinking of excrement? ;-)
Sage is sooo right... GREAT Expectations indeed... have you read it? About Pip and Estella ("of the stars") How amazing is that!?? :)) And yes, having read Estrella's fantastic poem first, the images of her graphic are amply put into words by your surging sea-foam of a poem here, that is shot through with its radiant phallic beam. And your final Freudian image brings the whole into a totally orgiastic metaphysical exploration culminating in penetration that is as intimate as it is far-flung....
Yet, there is innocence here too: that of the anticipation of a loving virginal consummation... Again borne out, perhaps, by the frothing whites of Estrella's visual... The collective consciousness is an amazing thing! This passionate piece roars with the throb of the ocean and whispers with the dew-fall of the heavens. Pulse-racing stuff, Jude! TY Kate xx
We create what we anticipate, don't we Ace? This poem is like a wave cresting. Can't wait to ride it to the shore.
Moans the flower when it see a bee coming to take the nectar?
Has the flower expectations?
"Where starry nights inhale the faint scent of twilight" a most genial way to describe it, I opened my nostrils wide trying to capture some of it coming from your words.
Yes, pure genius.
