Amen.
Martin Luther King called for a unity of being based on inner character.
Today's social engineers have clearly written that noble desire out of the script. Instead, they are preoccupied by the obssession with skin pigmentation, sexuality and economic status as the only measures of the human being.

Right on the money!! Ironical that I should put it that way, money probably being the single most destructive force that saps the United Spirit's vitality. . ."solidifying energy, love, and power". . .and keeping it from "merging with universal being." Subject couldn't be more important. There seems to be a specific group of the human race who squelches both the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and the onward movement of freedom and liberty who keep unknowing members of society in the dark like a mushroom feeding those without intuition a crock of fertilizer that has no nutrients for growth whatsoever. Your lines here prompted me to write what I just did above,

"The United Spirit cultivates knowledge
Influencing tangible and invisible worlds
As well as dreams of the heart"

It is our collective effort as part of this great nation to rid these "squelcher" types out of political office and our personal lives. When any sect of society is held back because of greed, corruption, jealousy, rivalry, and avarice, deliberately squelching knowledge and growth of the people, it also squelches dreams of the heart. Truth and Honesty prevail always in the Constitution of United Spirit...your thoughts on this, Jude, lifts us on eagle wings, the symbol for peace and collective welfare, "Solidifying energy, love and power Merging with universal being"...

We seem to live in an "all about me" world these days Jude, and a "United Spirit" appears to be a thing of the past or at least something that most feel is for the "other guy" and not for them. It is so much about the "what's in it for me" idea that it seems a forgotten fact that we need to work together if we ever intend to make a better world for ourselves and those who follow. Nice job on this, Jude, you bring up a topic that truly needs more attention by all of us.

The United States seems to be riding a wave of unpopularity due to it's current potical regiment, however that does little to change the fact that it is a great country with great people. As a Canadian neighbour I have always appreciated and repected the value of the loyalty to flag and country your citizens define.

The US of A, the United Spirit of America, should be see it again?
Someone said long ago, "divide and conquer," are we let ourselves be divided from each other? are the conquerors already over us?
If we put all the presidential campaign money together will it cover the kick-off of a universal health care? those are a lot of millions, with bars tabs of $50.000 two blocks from a homeless shelter with no more money than 150 meals for 471 hungry people in line.
Are we going to see the United Spirit of America again?
Your poem should be read aloud, to wake up the insensitive ones.
