Poem Artwork

Twisting and coiling
Along the surface of your distant thoughts

Weaving along their concealed paths

Forging through the superficial depths of your tempestuous heart,
A current of hope
Momentarily shoves away the debris of your elusive desires

And I am left dusted by the anticipated toil
Of excavating through emotional caverns
Leading into the depths of your pervious yet complex covering

Searching for spiritual fingerprints
Painted on the walls of secret caves
Where your creative endeavor has explored every artistic devise

And all I request is shelter
From the surging face of your flooding cliffs

From the deluge of unraveling tributaries
Eroding the contours of familiar crossings
Falling effortlessly into the sea of your affections

Where rays of light alert me to the sun
Seeping through portals of untiring anticipation
In hidden caves of your being

Reminding me to never rest
As you continue to move

(miss all the creativity here at the Den ... will return to commenting in a day or so)

Oh Jude, this reminds me so much of the song Elusive Butterfly by Bob Lind. We are always looking with nets of wonder for that bright elusive butterfly of love. This is a very deep, emotional poem about chasing that bright elusive butterfly of love. Thank you for sharing, Jude.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), sister Barbie

I lived in the Phillipine Islands when I was young.
I had an opportunity to explore some old WWII caves.
Once inside
I could never rest
Continued to move
Afraid of a cave-in
Or an old Jap soldier hiding around a darken corner!
Pretty sure that's not what you had in mind when you wrote this
But thought I'ld give you a chuckle.
This cave of your's goes much deeper
Sounds of a new found lover??

"Searching for spiritual fingerprints..."

Very intriguing write Jude~ and this line had me really "searching"...it is within the past, whether of minds or history itself...I love finding...re-evaluating, conjouring...from those caves, your caves and mine...
Outstanding write, that gives beyond explanation, another meaning to the words..."search" and "hidden"

You've been missed!
Welcome back!
Love and Peace~

What a masterful write! The mind is such a marvelous and extraoridinary thing, and yes, there are hidden caves, tributaries, and places yet to explore. We go into those tunnels--and caves-- every waking minute of our lives. (I recall at a workshop I once attended, the speaker equated the mind and learning to a filing cabinet with many drawers filled up with tons of file folders.) Your poem made me think of that.

Hidden Caves that lead to a mind labyrinth where thoughts get lost and new ones are found in a demented perpetual motion that screams at you to never rest...because...it, someone, you know what, continue to move.
Metaphysical reasoning or an astral projection from the author's soul.
Whichever...excellent.

Certainly makes me think of Indianna Jones on an archeological and sacred expedition. But the visual also makes me think gynaecology, farmer's girl that I am... and I'm sure I'm not alone in that Freudian association! With that in mind, I am thinking towards a hard labour... both of the subject of this poem and the "I" who perhaps feels himself to be very much a part of it. Deep emotional birthing seems to be involved of which spiritual clues and waymarks are sought. It is hard to seek shelter of another when they are wracked in their own labour pains and to do so would suggest an intense commitment to the shared cause. And "Reminding me to never rest As you continue to move" indicates a very active partipation in the proceedings.

Well, that's one interpretation, perhaps, of a very vivid and highly energised write. You must have been storing up masses of solar energy on your travels, so we look forward to plenty of life-giving emissions! Ozone friendly ones, but of course :)) Great to have you (almost) back, Babe. LOL Untiringly ExpeKtant Kate :)) xx
