~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Befallen by the fate
Of embracing life's passion too intently
Drawing closer to the fire of knowing
When the basis of truth arrives
Scorched by dreams
Burning in fields of reflection
Where logic and compatibility
Are denatured by the intense heat of articulating
The source of sweet nothing
Too soon
And of course, there is no one around to share
The overwhelming burden and wonder of experience
While wandering the contours of being alive
Really, there's no one to blame
Being like a coyote
Warmed by the hunger of the ever present freeze
Alone except for the blood red moon
And the constant flurry of pure white snow
Hunting for the prey of mystique and reason
Whose death and life are synonymous
Flesh frozen and consumed by the planet's surface
Spirit thawing inside the radiant fallout of stars unseen
I particularly love these verses but the whole poem reflects your style. Powerful and compelling expression, Jude. Thank you. Love and peace,
"Inside Falling Out" is a perfect title for this masterful write...and you express it with such vengeance!
And of course, there is no one around to share...I know the feeling!
As always, Jude~ you inspire me, touching light where no light has ever touched, forcing change in my environment...
Love and Peace~
Sometimes when we've wanted something really bad for a long time - perhaps like true love with another - there's a tendency to smother the possibilities that are given us because we don't allow the plant to grow and blossom in its own time.
Thanks to the thread which never rips we are comforted every time we think we are left alone. However, it takes faith to feel it.
There is a fine line between arriving and going over the top, at least as far as other people's perception of us is concerned. When we strive to go higher than the accepted highest, it becomes difficult for others to relate to us and to a degree for us to relate to the masses. Enlightenment can become a very lonely journey as we implode in an effort to fuse with the universe. Great visuals, Jude.
Take care,
Sherry
Man alive, you can write about stuff some of the rest of us can hardly think about, Jude. Now I am positively going to have to read every single thing I've missed of yours during my little haitus. Absolutely adore the last couple of lines. Dawn
Jude,
Your words are the depth of our very being. You find words to say when we feel but have no words. Enigmatic.
Jude,
Another mystical wonder. I love all the imagery in this poem, mostly feelings of loneliness and yearning, but also beauty within this loneliness. Very nicely written...
