Lovely choice of vocabulary, very expressive! So many breaths are waiting to be born, I can feel that.

"Buried under the light
for what cries out yet to be seen"
And when you DO see it, Jude, you will indeed be the one to paint it in beautiful, inspiring words.
The present experiences and deeds reveal themselves in an unforseeable tomorrow, which is made foreseeable by this apt and insightful poem. As always, a very thoughtful and reflective vision that reveals much but leaves much more to be revealed in the deeper layers.
this is one of those that each time you read it the perspective changes dependant upon where the emphasis is placed in the reading, it definately sways back and forth
Very metaphysical, Jude. But the words are so true. This piece makes a person reflect on things gone by, and yet to be achieved. I agree with Kate, and there is nothing more I can add. But this piece reminds me of my journey. Thank you for sharing.

Once again, you provide much substance for thinking and reflecting, Jude. It is difficult to add to what Kate has already stated. This is once more a poem worthy of much more than a single reading. Thank you. Love and peace to you,
Ehhhh.. Kartero! :)) Good to see you surfacing! And a fine motivational write for anyone who might feel stuck in sloughs of despondency and dark tunnels of gloom. For me the crux of this poem is the middle couplet, those dreams and hopes which "she" holds accountable, perhaps blames in some way for smothering, hindering, suppressing what is already a happening thing in the future. Still, it is the vision which keeps the spirit strong during such tribulation, and when it's weight of certainty hangs so heavy with purpose over our lives, and it's light shines so blindingly bright, then it can bring us to our knees with the yearning for its speedy fulfillment. From your words here, all those who find themselves in that oppressive (perhaps) place should perhaps take heart. In the present moment, when we maybe feel that our dreams and hopes have dealt us a duff hand and have basically screwed up and got it wrong, it is good to be reminded that what remains as yet unseen is not in reality affected by our confused perceptions that things have somehow gone awry. Another metaphysical write from you, plotting the graph between the dual axes of the now and the not yet... the secured future as against the misunderstood preceptions of the present in relation to it. Time is indeed such a funny business - on the one hand regulating everything; on the other, totally irrelevant in terms of what the future holds. I think we might do well to live our lives in the recognition of the composition of each and every moment, rather than in relation to the actual position of it in terms of temporal and linear time structure. And that's quite enough blah from me... I'm obviously, as ever, making up for lost time! :)) xx
Wow! You DO get deep into the mind, Jude. But, how do you find time to get "Buried alive...In the depths of tomorrow". I'm too busy finishing up today :o)
I get a feeling of anxiety after reading this poem, a feeling very familiar to me and many others, I bet. It sums up what a waste of time constant anxiety about tomorrow can be, causing "her" to miss the joys that the future can bring. Let go and let God! Thanks, Jude
Few can grab the reader by the throat with such power - from opening lines to last, this one almost claustrophobic - ignoring today, hoping tomorrow will get them out from under - excellent, Jude.
Yor poem reminds me of some I know who live so much in the hope of tomorrow that today is lost to them; ever waiting for the miracle to grace their lives and not living life in the time that they have been granted. Excellent write, Jude, nice to have your words coloring the Den once again.
Take care,
Sherry
"...grasping breathes dying to be born" what a fantastic line in a poem of many fantastic lines. As always you bring the reader into your mind and allow us to see the things you see...well done.
