~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Because a heretic resides in the intrinsic
nature of prosaic fundamentalism,
I repeatedly rewire the fabric of my personae
to expand the reliability of creative assessment
and the validity of my dreams
Naturally, the resulting fuel to achieve perspective
is provided by character,
bound by universal law and supernal evolution,
So I never hesitate accepting the duplicity of my actions
Or dissociate the direction of motion,
productive as well as critical,
as the preamble for faith, growth
and a reason to reassesses
how little it really matters to be poetically viable
Or be convinced anything is truly valid or legitimate
It appears that the qualms and convictions
of human temperament
Compel the values and instincts
of intrinsic motivation
To return from where they began
In the clarity held before becoming flesh and blood
Unorthodox as it seems,
On this plane of existence
Nature is superfluous and unessential
In this dimension,
one must persistently move on
to prevent stagnancy
adapting ,transforming; developing the will
not to die anymore
Without recollection
Fascinating and compelling view of our existence.
I yearn to find "the clarity held before becoming flesh and blood". It would seem that you have found at least some insight to that.
The understanding of our own natural fleshly and soulish complexities causes us to question the existance of a plumbline of absolute truth or necessity. But, by their very nature, "qualms and convictions" must take their measure/stance from some inbuilt "guideline" which keeps us straining onwards and upwards towards that "perfect" state or dimension. Irrespective of how the material/natural world of our time and space is ordered, it is the knowledge of who and what we are on a spiritual plane which plots our graph in the Now against the axes of the unseen past and future. This all sounds like pretty orthodox, fundamental belief system to me, Jude! :)) You are a Greek thinker; historically, their intelligentsia seek a supernal wisdom more than pure gold. And I LOVE your usage of the Greek "hair-" in the title, instead of the Latin "her-". You practice what you preach: you actively make your choices, your principles and belief systems, and live by them. Treasure the questions. Honour the mystery of the Journey. Love, Kate xx
It is true I shall have to savor this piece more than once to really absorb it but the last verse says it all "ADAPTING TRANSFORMING, DEVELOPING THE WILL NOT TO DIE ANYMORE WITHOUT RECOLLECTION." Absolutely brilliant, Master Poet I bow to your pen. In gratitude forever for caring and sharing. Mikii
You take words that multiply your point and the poem grows to extravagance for us. So many crossroads and so many ways to make a positive entry into our lives with your words.
Love and blessings,
Susan
To be able to coexist with the world and philosophies around us, within the confines of an often unsteady and unreliable political forum stretches our minds to the nth. This write has so much in it and between the lines of it that I will no doubt reread a few times before I will put it out of my mind. Very well done Jude
The difficulty for me lies not in the next plateau, but in the getting it right in the here and now so that I will have the tools I will need, once I do get there. UGH! Monday morning, 5 a.m. logic, here. This is, as per your usual, quite a thought provoking piece. Nice!
Take care,
I wish to be that fly in the wall when the "hairetik" realizes that it all wasn't an April's Fool joke and that in front of him/her really is the Big Boss of everything and that it is about no dying anymore...but where?
Georg
PS you make people think, is that good?
Hey Jude, A poet must be flexible enough to try new approaches to his state of articulation, even if that means contradictory transformations. "qualms and convictions of human temperament" do come into play, as well as moving on at all cost. Remembering where we come from keeps impetus on one right track, though many tracks can exist.
