~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
amazed by impressionable emotions,
I wander in my dreams,
inhaling extrasensory vapors of atonement
*
on the stretch of a one-way street
leading back to the vicinity to where it all began,
I know where I am going
but not how long it will take for me to realize I am there
*
alienated by a planet’s imaginings
in minds’ collective eye,
I am comforted by the overt
blindness of indifference
*
overpopulated social and political conditions- a cultural malady
penetrating the delicate membrane of supernal existence,
extending into all directions:
neither up nor down,
in or out:
assured by doubting
the credibility of primitive neo-modernism
and the discombobulated stirrings of future psychosis
wrapped up in global warming
and a cacophony of wasted resources
*
such is the network of tired ideas
in aspiring dreamscapes of lost ideals
estranged by the hesitancy of shifting civilizations
Yes, it's enough to cause stress, just living and seeing the masses go in so many directions, as if there is no director, and creating more fantasy than reality. So very well expressed Jude!
A philosopher's eye and a poet's pen at work.
So many paradoxes pinned down.
clever title, i've been contemplating the insanity of the mind of humanity...from expanse to colapse...much food for thoughts here...
You know what I was thinking, but reading this reminded me of the short time we have as the result of short sighted thinking.
Think I'll go watch beach volley ball until my short time here is over.
Oh Jude that second verse is me all over. They torment me for I have no sence of direction so I seem to be going in circles and sooner or later I realize where I am. Thank you for sharing a great write.
I really like each of these, you give us alot to chew on, but my favorite is the second one which echoes my thoughts, so very often. I do understand that I am in exactly the place I am supposed to be at every moment, the difficult part is figuring out the lesson so that I can know how to go forward from here. Nice job, Jude.
Take care,
Sherry
"...credibility of primitive neo-modernism..." yes, we have almost eight billion believers of that crap that are served by Cadillac-preachers, warmonger-politicians and Congress's con-men.
It is not an interplanetary asteroid aiming at us to obliterate our idiocy, it is us aiming at ourselves with a delusion of neo-modernism.
