marketable dreams

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ah, to be alive in times of insufficient abundance-
when the entire world gauges its status on fluctuating indexes
controlled by deities’ financial kingdoms
symbiotically joined to governmental hips
by fearful political folklore and restrictive rhetoric
whose deepest wounds penetrate the ostensive definition of their inner nature
ah, to be growing in a functional forest of mayhem-
where the river of night flows through dreams
reflecting cultivated patterns of offbeat desire
declining recognition by contemporaries
dancing on rays of rumbling heartache assembled from hellish gardens,
where stocky skeletons await the rapture of emblazoned breezes
left to forage though the air of familiar foreign thoughts
remaining close to the habitat where everything is uncared for,
allowed to ensure the maintenance of expanding ideals
ah, to be left unregulated by economic, monetary fences
encircling greed's global frontiers and growing boundaries
amazed at unworldly expressions
declaring the wealth of marketable dreams
You have such astute perception...it's as though you have the ability to separate yourself from the world... look at it ...and then give an incredible analysis that makes me shake my head and say, "YES!"
A very shipshape and apt commentary on the current times.
As ever Jude you serve up a delicatessan of poetic and literary beauty, which cuts to the quick, with the sharpest of the vernacular.
Money = Resources in my book
Sounds like a license for larceny. Ironically, sooner or later, the bad guys get their due.
As usual, mystically pure.
Ah, to be the illicit trafficker of dreams whose market value is unestimable, thinking and speaking in a supernal jargon whose currency is as yet unknown. Continue to communicate this unrecognized trade of the heart, mind and soul, Jude. It is only the spirit of man that trades in such enduring gold and, as such, is universally tax exempt. Now you have inspired me! Our dreams are, as yet, untouchable, but, were they to be recognised, translated and converted into the next Box Office hit, Wall Street would break down with the weeping! :)) xx
You nailed the situation Jude! Hope you weren't a victim. My Nephew had a large loss in their 401,before he transfered them to bonds,where they won't earn much, but will be safe...
There is a lot of diversion out there, that is for sure. We are so influenced by what the media crams down out throats that we forget what is really important. Stock markets will rise and fall, bad people will continue to be born, and at the end of the day those things really don't mean much. We need to remember that this is only an aspect, a season of our lives. At some point, we will each be issued a ticket out of this circus and none of the "Stuff" that we concerned ourselves with, while we were here, will matter at all. We should try to understand that what goes on around us does not make us who we are, that comes from our own heart an soul. Suck up the good stuff and spit out the bad. Tomorrow will come no matter what, and attitude is everything. Nice work, Jude, lots of truth in these lines.
Take care,
Sherry
Jude,
With all the mudslinging by the politicians, the only ones getting dirty is us - U.S. - knowwhutimean? An excellent dissertation, very well penned.
Now you see it, now you don't, you can hear it, but you won't, sleight of hand, scam artists rewarded, the scammed thwarted, I find this all quite sordid, well illustrated in your wise deposition, in your most enriching and magic words. Spot on Jude! Bless You!
Like a guru or dalai lama, you seem to be able to sit back study the world as it revolves around the sun and then deliver such intense perceptions of it...always mind blowing my friend.
Can anybody explain to me this "global recession"?
Zillions of dollars were lost, lost? someone, somewhere, somebody most have all that dough, it can't just disappear, or we have a superrich derranged man feeding a money crematorium like it will not be tomorrow?
Or, all the riches was only on paper, like Monopoly money.
If not, somebody, anybody, tell me WHERE'S THE MONEY????????????! ! !
Georg
