you enjoy hiding your gregarious ghosts-
those diaphanous entities of your heart and soul
      holding together the spine-tingling
   emotions of your delicate nature;
   translucent and unabated,
scattered by winds of life’s transitory momentum-
when it comes down to it, you’re just a tease
       seduced by distant desires,
     watching ancient reflections come alive,
revealing electric mists of succulent form-
you couldn’t wait for the sun to go down
so you could hide in a cloudy horizon
and surprise me with the fragrance of mystery,
       cryptically sweet and passionately undressed

"the fragrance of mystery, cryptically sweet and passionately undressed"... Oh yes! :)) Glorious confection of a write, a Pavlova lightly whipped and bringing to mind (for all us hitherto ballerina wannabes!) images of pink leotards, shin-length layers of chiffon and life en pointes! I always wanted to dance in the story of Giselle, which paradoxically this reminds me of, somehow. Yet, that wee word “just” troubles me a little: from your luscious, full-bodied, character-filled descriptions, it seems to me that this particular leading lady is more than “just” anything, Senor. It makes me write an NB to self that these “innocent” little four-letter words – just, love, hate, real, lies – always punch so much more than their own weight and need to be used pretty carefully…

Anyways, a beautiful moon-tribute sonnet, perhaps, and a hark back to your very old poem, Fertile Surface, I think. And more recently, the Pitt/Jolie cat-and-mouse of Silly Poet. Glad someone is keeping you on your toes, Kartero! And, as an aside, I think you’d look pretty darn good in tights… as long as Sage’s review didn’t apply at the time… :)) Korpsdeballet Kate xx

I think this might be a bit over my head. I read it twice and may have to just reflect upon it. Worth reading again and again though.

my kind of poem Jude -- it elicits concentration from the reader and allows for a myriad of interpretations -- I prefer the inferences to great passion -- this is indeed, a "Tease" -- may great joy sweep you along the path to love and peace -- JMW

Jude...perfection in your lines...from the sensuality contained within, right down to the way you've seductively formatted "tease." I especially like those last four lines.

I love a poem that has many meanings and your writes are never wrong as you share with us passion and mystery among your words Jude. I often feel we get more out of your words then you put in. Thank you for sharing.

Gimme anytime a translucent, unabated and sweet tease that goes passionately undressed, it is very lonely down in the emotional dungeons.

I get a sort of love/hate relationship mixed in with longing and desire for something that the writer doesn't want a part of but is intrigued enough into caring about such things,
You simply amaze me everytime I read one of your poems..I feel the depth and passion in how you write.
Much peace, love, and light,

Jude, this is timeless and provacative. Your intimacy with literary elements is magical. Your words reflect the irony of man and nature, two juxaposing personas competing for what each desires but can not quite touch but lives within the soul of one. The images you string line-by-line depicts the sultry-suductive voices hiding within her, within it. What a 'ghost' of a teaser this is! Kudos!
