We've become a nation of cynics. It's better than apathy, I guess. Up to us to restore the dream. Lot of chips on poor Liberty's hide. Can we go home again? Hope so! Finger on the pulse with this one, Jude!

Jude, We all need to trust in our instincts, if we think that American is amiss then it probably is! There is much to question, especially trust in the system. I work under the theory of positivity, but sometimes it is quite challenging.

A very profound write Jude. As I watch my family grow I'm filled with a sense of pathos for the future of the young ones. My childhood was free of fear of destruction, political chaos, global warming, etc., theirs is much different. It's a sad evolution.

Thought provoking, Jude. America is changing, feelings are shifting. Things are quickly being confused when the wrong leader speaks. America used to stand for freedom. That is just one of the dreams lost. I'm free to what...edit my opinions and traditions in case they may offend someone? Suddenly I'm not supposed to say Merry Christmas in my own country; I'm supposed to say Happy Holidays. Crap. We still have the freedom to respect everyone's beliefs but our own...lol. We've become too wishy washy in how we handle things in this country. From illegals, gangs and letting other countries decide our fate. Congress wants to point a finger at the big three all the while knowing that not putting bigger tariffs on imports they themselves have created the problems the big 3 have. As a people we buy from other countries in order to save a few bucks not realizing we're supporting child labor in other countries and taking away jobs in this one. I could go on and on, but as a people we need another revolution.

This poem is like a heavy sigh that hurts to exhale, Jude. Things are bad and getting worse by the day. Greed and selfishness have taken their toll and unless we all stand up, together, and turn things around, freedom will be nothing more than a memory, a story that we tell to our great-grandchildren.
