~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
when I first noticed
   the raging fire within your eyes,
      i was taken aback by the intense passion
   silently tumbling
 from the cascade of your heart
      and wondered
 how long such rolling flames could last
when I first looked to the stars
 with eyes altered by the impression
         you cast upon me,
   i could see variations in the constellations
 only seen from a vantage point beyond our own
 when I first surrendered
          to the will of your thoughts,
    i became consumed by the presence of your dreams
 and the mysterious worlds
       surging from the moist furnace
     exposed during the rising downpour
... reckon this is a nice upbeat companion to Dry Lightning in your "wings-pairings" for Acts of Flight. The beautiful, melting, fine romance here has been duly noted, but the awe and wonder in this poem derives, perhaps, from the suggestion that such an intense heat may also be a product of the inner being, an intrinsic passion and zest for life whose outpouring in all avenues is as constant and voluminous as Niagara itself. Some passion is object-centred and needs its stimulus to remain alive; other passions derive purely from the "just-is" and it's maybe THIS kind of passion that you talk of here - the sort that is contagious because it is a love-affair with life itself, conjuring and communicating the mystery of dreams and other-worldliness to others because life IS its very own essence. Whatever... tis hot and succulent anyways! :)) xx
There, in the thoughts world, in the soul ambivalence and heart intimate secrets, there is always a first time...
But there is also a surrender that's reflected from many mirrors, telling you that eyes, stars and yielding are different each time your eyes get a blink.
Yes the sensual side of you is becoming I must confess.
Now I enjoyed partaking of this offering "moist furnace"
Great title by the way.
Bring on the Milky Way just as Sage has said. This poem makes me feel all warm and moist, Jude. Nicely written, a sensual side of you that I love.
Much peace, love, light and a warm hug,
In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu
In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
