heart skeletons

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
i hear the skeletons of hearts rattling,
menacing my arrival from a long and difficult journey
i hoped to relax, be laid-back, hassle-free
but it seems this experience is going to be scary,
well at least a bit unsettling
i hear the hushed howling of haunting words
silently articulate a nightmarish wildness of feverish consequence
(imagination enjoys taunting the creative framework of idea:
I have come to accept that premise quite freely)
i can barely imagine the supercilious scenario
waiting ahead
a distant contact
with aspired refugees of uninhibited lands
attempting to articulate the motion of stars
perhaps I’ve been away far too long?
yet it seems I’ve never left
only the bare bones of being there
will  resurrect the departed from an opening in the sky
where everyone will again arrive  from unlocked graves,
dancing
Creative imagery in this poem, Jude. The beginning of this poem seems to warn one to brace themselves. Nice write.
Mystical touch which awakens otherworldly souls from their slumber. No abandoned subdivisions in heart skeletons choked with weeds and deception, no scandal titillating cyber Twitters, heart skeletons is in space-time continum, encouraged by the "relatives" Jude...the poetic engineer on his linked path to winged deities...22-foot medieval scroll comissioned by your well-read disciples welcoming you back...
my emotions go weird wild and wondrful, all at once when I read this;-) Don't know why,except that in the throes of illness with pain meds etc we can visit some really scary places in our imagination,that are all too real. The thing is Jude,you can write about them with that expert insight and gift of words you have,and put forth this fantastic poem! ET
Another fascinating take on life and possibly the here-after... hear-after... heart-after.... I'm very much on the same wavelength, so it's strange how the aftermath of either unwellness or the assimilation of the collective consciousness kicks in. There seems to be a lot on the subject of death about on the Den of late. To me, this rattles personal bars of memories of a bizarre childhood, sorrounded by unreachable, disjointed adults and scenes of psychosis and emotional pain. As an uncomprehending onlooker, I sponged up everything felt and unseen; took upon myself an overwhelming sense of irrational guilt. And all cloaked under a guise of levity, coping and "normality". I've often wondered whether, in an afterlife, we will all be released into our "perfected selves", or whether the same old same old will just walk through the door, reconfiguring those "supercilious scenarios" and "attempts to articulate the motion of stars" that I grew up with. Not an eternity I would want to endure, that's for sure! Just one take on, as ever, an intriguingly surreal yet highly plausible and seemingly experiential write. Hope you're on the up! :)) speKtral Kate xx
Jude, This to me sounds like an awakening of a soul that has been dormant or trapped in a world of comfort. Finally awakened into a reality of what is to come. Never fear the unknown, for in the unknown can be a treasure full of hope and love, and much light. A world that was awaiting this soul for many decades, and the destiny is being fulfilled. It could be death of a kind but it could be a new "life", all depends on how one looks at it.
I always love your poetry and it makes me dig deeply into my being to find answers.
Much peace, love, and light, dear friend,
Amber "V"
I have to travel in to the office for a mandatory meeting this morning ... my day off ... I too, can hear the skeletons rattling. Nicely done, Jude.
Jude, cremation is the answer, never mind the bones, I can only think you found the opening for a nightmarish movie in you head, this is something in the line of Never more, never more, loved it.
Oh! To find oneself in the graveyard of past loves is one of the most unsettling feelings one might ever experience. Visiting there, some could not be buried deeply enough and others flirt on the air of possibility and could have been. The bones are old and it would be best if they were never again unearthed. A less haunting idea would be to recall the times gone by when things were vital and fresh and forget about the terminal illness that sent that time of our life to it's ultimate demise. Provacative pen, Jude. A bit different from your usual, perhaps a little more raw and a bit more of the man, as opposed to the bard, upon this page.
Take care,
Sherry
"...hushed howling of haunting voices..." like one hears when our hearts wanders on an Voodoo Haiti emotional landscape of supercilious scenario where all our hopes and fears are tossed together to make a nightmarush reality.
The open graves are earth's open mouths shouting in silence, "come to me!"
Oh to hear "the hushed howling of haunting words" - expectation alone is enough to torment one's mind...the idea of hearts having skeletons is scary but true.
