What may seem contradictory offers great insight and motivation.
This makes me think of the Dalai Lama when he says something like "your enemy is your best friend". Of course, the teacher/student metaphor may apply to so many different contexts which is also why this write is very thought provoking.

A hypertensile write, maintaining the counter-tensions between various physical/ metaphysical pulls of body, mind and spirit. This seems to me to explore the combined equal and opposite forces of truth and contradiction: seen and unseen; learned and understood - both inside and outside temporal timeframes. Your imagery (compressed and pressured) conjures both a Big Bang and vortices spilling outwards/inwards ad infinitum to... nothingness? Perhaps everything is nothing and nothing everything in the grand scheme of things. I like the largeness of scope here, but in particular the "axis of emotion" which suggests to me something akin to "the apple of the eye": another term for pupil. It seems from this that both Teacher and Student emit signals that together create quite an effect, whether or not, like magnets, their forcefields attract or repel. All universal laws dictate that "relentless" such is ordained to be; 'twill be ever thus - perhaps ever never in this particular case! :)) An ouroborus write, Kartero. San Mistico is so good at these! A good one for the eye exercises. xx

My take on this is that she is trying to impress by listening to all that she is told, but never really learning how to apply it to her life, be it that she is a non-believer or perhaps it is simply beyond her grasp. Great job, lots to think about.

A very interesting poem, Jude. I had to read that a few times to catch its meaning. Loved the way you have written this.

I think one cannot learn just by listening, he/she has to be motivated to exercise what he/she has been taught. There are many non-believers who have build up walls surrounding themselves and thus no matter what the teacher cannot reach them.

And I so agree with you on this. It doesn't matter what we think is good for our friends (or students), it is THEMSELVES who are responsible for their own well-being and beliefs. You can't motivate them if they don't want to believe in anything you say.
