~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
my center is divided into ripples:
i am torn in halves
long lines of clouds
shroud the aftermath of the storm,
sealing their reflection
into the sunken lake i inhabit,
streaming along and pushing me up
raindrops ascend
toward the earth-based sky,
the warmth of the sun
transforms their shape into scorching snowflakes
i am slowly moving together
like mercury on an incline,
consolidating my pulse
the rhythm of my heart
vacillates and whispers
where and when to wander again
perhaps back into the unseen wholes
where the symmetry of light is recovered
Effective wording Jude, this poem's content sounds familiar to me.
there is a mixing, blending of relative values and a testing of interpretation here Jude, that I very much enjoy -- far reaching are the applicable circumstances to which it may be germane -- peace and love be with you my friend -- Jon Michael
I like the descriptions in this poem, and I like the sense of listening to the heart for direction. Maybe the reader does so with the interpretation, too. I caught my imagination running, especially at the mention of the lake. All sorts of plants and critters sped through my mind.
I find this poem completely captivating in scope of meaning open to interpretation; an invitation to read... ...and to read again. Thank you, Jude. Love and peace,
A most unique paradigm. Great inventive imagery. It does have that Lewis Carroll topsy turvy feel.
Splendid; enjoyable write to read.
...'ello, 'ello, 'ello...(Olde-English cop-speak)... you LIKE this one! :)) You've given it that extra-special fonty-thing in the space it has taken for me to cook me toad-in-the-hole (sausages in batter to you), glug back some Pinot and return. VERY nicely edited, Senor, and you know what it really makes me think of? That horrendous torture of dunking as a punishment, reserved for the witches of yore. Like being tied to a water wheel and made to go the full circle: you've been down to the bottom and are now coming up for air, hence the downside-up point of view. Perhaps it's the vacillating heart that's the cause of the dark-light mirror symmetry state-of-mind - but at least the light seems to be winning! Other than that, wandering in search of unseen (w)holes seems to be the psychological territories of an Alice/Jack Rabbit anima-animus complex (my "thing" atdemo!). Whatever. All the vital signs are gooood. And it now reads beautifully, especially in the cuddly script. Welcome Back, Kartero! !oretraK kcaB emocleW (nah... unless the letters also reverse out, mirror-writing just don't work!) :)) xx
You seem to have found that center. Nice work my friend. x
wow, what a way to describe ones position in symmetry, if this is true I'm sure you handle it well Robert, the ones in trouble are those that don't face up to the mirror, feeling they are superior, things slip up on their perfection because they have no reflection, when things don't reflect back they can't be corrected, cheers
When it seems we are miles from nowhere and shattered into a million pieces, it is precisely there, where we find our center. Substantial multi-faceted offering, Jude, YOU ROCK!
It's a David Copperfield poem...it takes magic to put a man back together...but it takes something all together different to put a woman back together...a miracle of divine light cast by the angels in a heavenly aura so bright, it blinds the senses into a Whole, healing the fissures of time-worn and jaded habits...balance of light and dark...rise up I say, meet your new life, time is short...
Jude,
I can feel the pulse of your mercury, it is beginning to boil, your heartbeat strums to the rhythm of a guitar riff, with a climax only you can foretell. Symmetry of light is of the essence, my poet, lightness of being, loving life, living in the moment all facets of the same divinity. You are on your way toward whims of magical moments.
Embrace life, and ride the wind toward that distant shore where life lives to the fullest!
Catch you on the coast of magical dreams and eternal light,
Peace, light, and love,
Amber
