universes
are ruined
by madcap
words of silent dreamers

by creative
howling of missing specters

haunting deep
recesses of imaginary smiles

by obsessive
roars of far off places

united by
wandering hearts
and scrambled minds

by the reality
stars are the past

and the unseen
will be the sparkling future
of a foreign
proverbial
budding world

succumbed
to its own insolvent revelations

I'm confused where this one is leading, but it could be rather epic.

The only insolvency I know of is the federal government.

Does creative madness divide or unite? Obviously, it can do either or both. The first part of this piece conjures a form of frenzy in my mind, a paranoia that there are unhealthy unseen forces that are directing and dictating the gameplay of our uni-verse, veering it wildly off-course... But, somewhere, this mellows and blossoms into less malevolence (had to make sure I didn't write "male-violence" by mistake!) and a form of relief sets in when I get to "by the reality of stars...", because somewhere there is an ouroborus turn and we are in a kind of "back to the future" setting where we are free to begin the cycle again - or, hopefully, a fresh, upwardly spiralling one...

I first read this hours ago and thought differently about it then. It's a Judean trick card. The subject appears to be consistent throughout though a form of metamorphosis takes place.

Maybe, trying to piece this all together, I'll just say that there have always been toxic pressures on the fraternities of moving-shaking creative minds but it is, of course, disturbance which causes such minds to function and to come up with solutions. But perhaps this particular poem/poetic construct is in-solve-ent/un-solve-able. Alas, we are but incorrigible dreamers, silent or otherwise (!)with no legal tender in our pockets with which to start a material world afresh (thank God!) but only the desire to recognise as equally valuable currency that which each of us holds dear and accept that in fair and mutual exchange: like I said, back to the future. This is, perhaps, the true spirit of what it means to go placidly and to tread softly... My sparkling and budding future world would thus be one of feathers, shells and leaves! My landscapes, both internal and external, are already made of them.

Quite enough madcap from me... Am off to succumb to me nightcap! Thanks, as always, for the philosophical poetic gymnastics. thinKinKap Kate xx

We have been devolving and evolving, and so is the world around us. We have been guided and misled, yet with the hope that we would continue to be growing with constructive intent and purity. There are two parts of this poem, one that broods on the decadence of the human race, being led or misled, and second part is a voice of progress, change, progress. Yes, Prometheus, hope we see the path, and not wait for a rebirth of light!

From bankrupt souls, hope emerges. It seems rather an enigma, but it is all part of the evolving spirit. Chewy content and excellent visuals make this poem worth several reads.
Take care,

And I said somewhere, "If God doesn't play with dices, where the craps game come from?" because...there's is a lot of universes out there to get ruined!

We the people...words said in past, that say it all. It is up to us as individuals and hopefully as a community of man to keep our minds open, our spirits alive, and our hopes soaring. We do this not for the sake of ourselves and our current life but in the hope that somehow our future generations can pass on this same torch of hope.

A woman's take on your poem...Insolvence (bankrupt, completely spent, void empty...My definition of this word..)
Some how this to me, is an uplifting poem..A low point and then a realization, and perhaps a glimmer of hope for what could come next. the sparklings future of a foreign proverbial budding world..but perhaps that world does not succomb to insolvency.._a more positive outlook on the end result of your fabulous thought provoking poem!) I want to always see the positive in all people say and do, your poem makes me work hard to send positive vibes out to you on your journey to your budding new world.

Happy landing, let me know where to pick you up and we could go have a coffee or a margarita what ever turns you on..lol

Great work, Jude, certainly have missed you, next time don't be so long in coming back....

Peace, light, and love,
Amber

You Look FatCalgary by RickthePoetWarrior

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
