~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
you sense things
she may never know
your frozen sweat
cooling her heated snow
you look for an experience
rarely imagined
seeking mysterious territory
anonymously examined
you touch objects
hard to feel
dreaming storms
through liquid steel
light permeates darkness
as muse embraces song
a soothing strange presence
capturing the fiery dawn
Jude this is one of my most favorite poems of yours now. I love everything about it. The whole poem is outstanding but this line "you touch objects hard to feel dreaming storms through liquid steel" that just blows me away!
Dear Jude, Short and to the point, very nicely written and I fully agree with you that: light permeates darkness. May light shine upon you,
a fitting incongruity of images to tease us all out of thought into sensation... which is just my loquacious way of saying 'sensational!'
Yes, as Sage says, there is that "safe place" feel of the sensual, satiated afterglow about your coupled couplets here, Jude: the experience of deepest intimacy through the mutual sharing of what are, perhaps, the most mind-blowing "mysterious territories". I often wonder if it is really possible to fully know (and to know fully!) what another living being or thing in this universe is actually feeling/thinking at any given moment in time, but your words here indicate that such mysteries and phenomena exist between kindred spirits who know nothing of time/space divide. This could be both self-reflexive soliloquy and softly-mumbled pillow talk spoken during a sudden moment of lucidity and revelation. This is beautifully tender and soothingly reassuring to the primed heart. Love the tone and voicing. xx
The mystique here just feels of the discharge of vapors of post-coitus...it is sexual paranormal at its peak.
Jude, so much to take in with this amazingly written poem..Deeply felt, seeing through liquid steel brings me visions of almost clarity as to where this lover is going. It has a air of the mystic and the desire of Dante and the wisdom and passion of Rumi.
As you end this delicious poem, with
you're a soothing strange presence, capturing the fiery dawn,
it will suck to wake up from such a beautiful erotic dream. (Now that is Prime Time)!
Another fine masterpiece from the Master of Poetry!
Peace, light and love,
Amber
To me, this feels like man v/s Mother Nature. The human perspective working against or with, for that matter, the forces that be, to create a certain balance, common ground and harmony of spirit. I really like this poem, Jude, it provokes interesting and profound images. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Take care,
Sherry
