I want to be within an avalanche

descending downhill

across giant mountains

where virgin snow is blessed

and speed and skill are mere benefits

before the kill and fear wipeout

fate to bury

me in the solid flora of growth

I want to be inside a 500hp engine

primed for rapid acceleration

pistons throbbing up and down

and the groin’s gearshift

is headed into brand new avenues

across uncharted territories

releasing its exhaust to a timeless motion

lucidly lubricated

for maximum depth of highway

within underground canals

I want to stand above a waterfall

suspended on a tree branch

perched above the misty mass of sunlight

where the rainbow shifts to my being

touching me on neither side

rather running upwards

I want to tell the child

where to go when darkness and madness

prevail over the spectrum

of our planetary panorama

into the refuge of imagination

housing the synapses of creative light

I want to dream in couplets

or parallel worlds

and be awakened by the voluptuous verse

of wet rhymes

satiated with the syntax of wild kisses

healed by the sweat of your touch

Creativity is the blessing of the human mind. We are creative creatures always striving to create one more beautiful than the other. But what is even more crerative, Jude, is that I want to do all the things you have written here. This is a wonderful piece so full of images that the reader can actually see everything. I really loved reading this. Thank you for sharing.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie

PS: Almost said that I can tell you what it is like to be
buried in an avalanche, but I'd have to dig my way out first,
& I'm not at all sure I can. Sometimes inside that engine,
as well. Kidding. . .I think. GREAT POEM

Oh yeaaaaaaaah! Just what the doctor ordered and “sweat” is spot-on, given that this, in our parallel worlds, coincided beautifully with that longed-for first bath and removal of my dressings last Friday! :)) A multi-verse of powerful forces here that begins with a confusing and disconcerting mix of fun and fury in the first stanza, but, by the end of the roll, as Axilea says, finishes with the breathless, safe, still-point “homecoming” of the last. Whether a motion of mood or acts of flight, this poem begs any self-appointed Ed to unleash the hunger of her little red-hot, hot-red pen onto the body of your most intimate mysteries and twin together “prime time” and “the power of love” as an obvious wings-pairing that enables the continuation of your onward, upward physical, emotional and spiritual trajectory. You’ll have many hangin on to the coat-tails of this one, Kartero! Groovy! :)) xx
