dear god of dreams
set free my recollections
of what i already know

liberate me from the mesh
of the world’s synaptic suspicions

rearrange my preconceived
paths of perception

reshuffle the neurotic notions
howling through the storm of brain cells

set free my emotions,
hopes and desires
from the giant pool of collective think

exit me into the light
via the electric fury of my soul

please, please
discharge me from all that is known

Hey Jude, after what's been said below, what can I say--except
it's always an enlightened kick to read your enlightened words.

... is it the "god of dreams" who is able to do this? Rather, isn't it the god of dreams who brings to fruition all that stands outside of our innate knowledge, intuition and creativity, crafting all things new? It is said that a great many scientific discoveries, for example, were birthed through acting on the impetus and inspiration of dreams. "god of dreams" perhaps knows all, rather than "nothing" in that case! :)) Kwirky Kate here, but there's real passion in this, Kartero, and it's like trying to shadow box or fight your way out of a self-woven web. Perhaps this demonstrates the downside of being able to outsmart the smarts of one's being; desiring to sweep all the chess pieces off the board after a particularly taxing match ending in a checkmate. Do tell us if the "spell" works! I have to agree, though; being part of the collective "we" is like swimming in an over-heated pool sometimes: debilitating and numbing to the brain. Another good'un. xx

Very zen like. Reaching the place that has no name, yet many names, from nirvana, god, love, purity, enlightenment...
Oftentimes thoughts get in the way of such a path.
As does this carcass we carry around.

Seems a bit unique from your usual style but I like the sweet simplicity of this write and how it says so much to the reader.

Love the idea of a god of dreams. Refreshing our inner vision... how to do that, I often wonder. Then, it just happens. Like the tone and the way it contrasts with your word choice.

Jude,
You just keep putting it out to the Universe and you shall receive.
I feel your energy, it's just like you said "electric fury of your soul". (Great line)
Sometimes when we see ourselves with clarity, one will set out to cast a spell in the direction of the cosmic Universe, with hopes that this spoken mantra will reap what you truly desire deeply within that furious soul of yours.

I say you have put out some potent words here, and I am feeling you loud and clear.

You are a very powerful and magical man.

I wish all the best the Universe can offer and I truly send out good healing vibrations to that furious soul...

Much peace, light, and love,
Amber

This is so strange for a person who wants to know the essence of the universe. Perhaps, you feel that your mind is too cluttered with trivia to reach the level of poetry you aspire. I can tell you from my own experience that your poetry is several levels above my understanding as I grasp the words and try to piece them into the glorious thoughts you are having while writing down. Peace and tranquility be on you and the clean slate you are asking for.

Powerful words and wonderful effect for the reader!
Yes, to trust those first innocent glimpses of innate wisdom before they are layered with smothering.

You know Jude, this poem sums up the changes I have found in myself lately. I have found a place where I have finally let the old go. I am being flooded with such newness, such vibrancy. I finally get it. We can't keep holding to the things and thoughts that make/made us cringe and cry. We can't change what we have done but we can do something better. I think this may be my fav. of yours. I'm living it.

To remain vibrant for someone creative is imperative. For some, though, moving forward in time steals away more than is regarded fair. Reaching a place where a rewarding season of insight and understanding has reached fulfillment, where we still yearn to see and experience once again, can be painful and challenging. Keep the faith! richard

It sounds as though it is time to take that quantum leap into a parallel universe and drink in all of the knowledge of the uncluttered. I use Quantum Jumping, often, and I love where it takes me and what it teaches me...some of the things I have never had (conscious) knowledge of, yet they become crystal clear. Great offering, Jude, just grab a few tools and release those ties that bind.
Take care,
Sherry
