!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~!

you asked me to kill a little time
by the ravine
where we met so many years ago

and dare not leave
until i could see the bloodshot haze
of your deep transcendent eyes
arrive upon the nocturnal landscape

waiting for midnight
i stare into the endless fields
reminding me of the vast expanse
of your mythical presence

as i count misty mountaintops
congregating under the moonlit terrain
you arrive

and i stare into those fiery red eyes
and lick those starry words
pouring from your budding lips
liquefying into poetic ramblings

drive me
take us far away
where dreamers
perform wild acts of creative mischief

and structured positions of pure folly
are safe once again, to risk the radiance of behavior

jude, those fiery red eyes must be the setting sun my dear friend -- the "structured positions of pure folly" have my interest, what's her name? -- teasing and homogeneously blended with love, passion and nature all characters in a marvelous scene -- I bid you love and peace my dear friend -- Jon Michael

How this makes me think of the wild, passionate love between Dylan Thomas and Caitlin, somehow... and, of course, the Isle of Wight! Other than that, petroglyphs in the habitats of Natives around the Grand Canyon loom large, especially in:

drive me
take us far away
where dreamers
perform wild acts of creative mischief

... probably because of the idea of a road trip and your use of red.

and structured positions of pure folly
are safe once again,

are lines of pure delight. I see tangible scaffolding and sense the building of a mystery; does it build us or do we build it? Ah, that invisible blueprint, so clear when illuminated by the catalysing breath which blows away space-and-time's sands; round and round, through dreams' revolving doors onward we go... xx

Fine poem. Your imagery here is aglow! "and lick those starry words..." Words I wish I'd written! Intriguing.

Awesome poem, Jude. Love the scenery, and the tension you build until she gets there.

Your travels are much more celestial and sensual than mine. But it is interesting that we both should write on a similar topic on the same day. I don't think I could ever lick your starry words.

Hey Jude,
This poem struck a chord deep within me. I can feel a depth of emotion that has long eluded you. This is a very deeply moving poem, filled with much passion for a tranquil but exciting life.
Why not ride off into the sunset, wild acts of creative mischief sounds yummy. I love the way this poem ends like a orgasmic climax... Life is short, you should go for it, and live like you never lived before.

Robust, electric, sensual energy your way, my sweet friend,
Warm hugs,
Amber

for me, Jude, a strong sense of irony
pervades..perhaps just my mood rather than yours

Enjoyed the whole works but I have to agree with George that phrase "...wild acts of creative mischief" sticks in my mind for some reason. Well done.

to take a little piece of the past and bring it forward to move on is what I read into this....wild acts of creative mischief...like that. ~ Morgan

"...to risk the radiance of behavior" Very cool grouping of words, Jude. Truly, it is strange how we spend our youth trying to find our uniqueness through conformity with our peers and then spend the rest of our lives trying to break those very chains, with which we have bound ourselves, so that we can once again live within the unencumbered dreams of our youth. Really beautiful and haunting poem delivered with the keen sharpness of your ever evolving vision.
Take care,
Sherry
