~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
        through “hills and dales”
            of spirited tales,
a sailor rattles
      the sails of his own making
      a vast breeze
                 stirs the mast
      to guide his vessel
               into a seldom taken direction
     into a blinding state of being
         brightly illuminated by moonbeams
                       and starburst patterns
     rolling across the waves
                      in the galley, a secret slumber
 is continuously awakened
               by looking
 through the porthole of rippling lights
                guided by an internal compass
          pointing to a mysterious bearing
  where only dreamers
                              dare to sail upon
   go ahead, my dear sailor
                    sail into that mystifying sea
                               navigate
                  to see the breeze of light
Thank you my friend for the beautiful age. I sail everyday in any sphere and I find that without my spirit companion I would be lost.
Thank you for sharing, my good friend. Emile
the search of the spirit for an alternative
to what is around us, an upping and leaving
but in a positive way moving toward better
as much if not more so than escaping from...
This is a fine poem, Jude.
Possesses a the kind of mystical quality relating the sea to light. We could be setting either a stellar course of one bound by the waters. It does not matter, the mystery remains.
Your internal compass led you into a masterful poem while riding upon the sea of words.
The "solar wind inside (y)our soul Speaks through (us) in tones of windy light" magnificently here, Kartero; so glad to see those glorious Moods of Motion stir once again the deep sea tides within you. I shall look to western skies and await the scent of Cohibas on the evening horizon, ready to welcome you to Purbeck, Jack! :)) Fabulous energy and verve of life's momentum resonates through the heart of this swash(un)buckling tale. Dream on! Kolumbus Kate xx
Hey Jude,
This is absolutely stunning and inspiring poetry. I agree with the board, you certainly know how to make my day start off on a very positive and satisfying note....or shall I say sail..
I always knew you had a pirate's blood in you..lol
anyway, tremendous job done with this poem, it is oustanding and I have to say by far, one of your very best. I wonder what you inspiration was for this one.......Sounds like a really awesome journey.
Much peace, light and love, Pirate Jude,
Amber aka Piratess in the making..
For some reason these thoughts remind me that there is always much more around us than what we see, feel, or perceive. Fine title and write. We can only hope, robert, that the internal compass remains intact. Peace to you ... richard
