... indeed you are, Kartero: I was lunching in a kitsch, "shabby-chic" gastrolounge in Belfast that had been converted from a warehouse butchery at the time you posted this poem yesterday! :)) Thankfully the city centre is now free of all the blood and pain of former years (apart from that created by global fiscal policy) and, as ever, the Irish exude a charming warmth, grace and deep thoughtfulness. But a fascinating C-section you give us here: perhaps a slight hark back to Blood of My Muse - "Before me a dream relinquishes Its symbolic journey Into the bleeding vessel of my heart So I may become whole again" - but the image conjured is visceral in its latent fecund "womb"-iness and sense of pre-and-pro-creativity. Makes me think of incubating life in Petri dishes (especially with your original "Blood letting" title) -and yes, the old-fashioned photographic darkroom processes. Prescient, penetrating, potent and poignant. My own fever has now peaked but the concert on Friday at the Ulster Hall was AWESOME! :))))))) xx
If you are looking through my window you must be having a great time at the moment LOL. Just one of those days where the magic continues.

Hey Jude,
This one in a mind spinner for sure. Deeply filled with emotions that I can feel as if my own. That window, well, it is intriguing to say the least, but none the less, open wide to let that blood, filled with the most ultimate love flow through it, and into that place that only gets satisfied when it is a pure, true love emblazed deeply within one's blood. If this doesn't make sense, it's because of my cold medicine, I am so sick right now, I need some tlc...
I love this poem, and all it's implications.
Peace, light, and love,
Amber
