~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
       I am standing before a large house
              concealed in the woods,
  covered by dense vines and rainbow mist
I’ve never set eyes on this residence before
   though I’ve dreamt of it over and over,
       assembling it from the inside out
                 rebuilding it step by step,
continuously laying down the groundwork
             stone by stone, plank by plank
                          from a blueprint
           designed in my dreams
            by an unknown hand
   in the deep coolness of the open attic,
        my breathe rises to the sunroof
                          I see the sky
     embellished with cumulus clouds,
              altering into varied shapes
                  and silken silhouettes
            superimposed by sunbeams
       they form dark yet alluring faces
      and all sorts of archetypal shapes
       conjured up by molecule bending
I always wonder whose house is this anyway?
                          I feel I belong here
                       yet, is it truly mine?
and I wonder who designated the dream blueprint
         given in an episode of conscious slumber
   I know somewhere there’s an unseen proprietor
                 I wonder where he really resides
  though I never seen him I know he’s out there
                 inside the horizon of my dream
                  perhaps this elusive landlord
                              I’ve been seeking
         is really the dreamlord of my being
         and this house I constantly build
                         is the structure
                    supporting my soul
Inspiring... the construction of the self that becomes us and supports us. Could we exist without our dreams? Would we still be human? And who is the proprietor? Your answer shows that he is both familiar and unknown.
It seems to me,that you have constructed the
kind of house that contains God,which can become a home of your liking since it is imaged within your dream juice, built by your hands as well as His making Him a partner ,He is as yet the unknown
hand,and proprietor. You have filled it with heavenly hosts who are the"alluring faces,and all sorts of archetypal shapes conjured up by molecule bending,and God is the dreamlord of your being.
Splendid reality arises from your "dreamjuice",Jude,as you prepare your soul for a heavenly home;-)
Love,
Eileen
... I think we all have one of these scenarios or abodes, Amigo: the "habitual" place we're constantly reconstructing over and over to the same pattern and format, ready for habitation; attempting to shape an ultimate "constant" within a shape-shifting world or existance. You perhaps believe that the soul houses/maintains the body, rather than the other way about, so I don't think this is necessarily a picture of a refuge or heavenly home as your "oversoul" is perhaps bigger than that. Again, the imagery and context is rich and forever questing, searching, questioning of purpose and intent. If this blueprint is forever given in "episodes of conscious slumber" after having been on the dream juice, then presumably you can "shape the lucid dream" and mould its outcome at will? You are in that case both landlord and tenant of a dwelling that is entirely of your own making... ka-ching/dreamhouse? Your dream juice must be of liquid gold that quickens expensive taste! :)) xx
There is a legend of the long house where the men would gather and smoke the pipe of peace and discuss greater things. Perhaps you are dreaming a past memory of a tradition that no longer exists that supports your soul.
Your heavenly abode you are building, and it's beautiful, and like Ed said......any house in the woods, bless ya!
Reads like a metaphor -- the house is one's body, the proprietor/landlord/dreamlord is one's creator.
Any house in the woods is a marvelous place to be, and I've dreamt of leaving this rat race behind and moving into my woodland dream house for a long time now.
I hope you find yours.
I believe you have constructed within your dreams a structure to come when you can go no where else. That it was built to harbor your soul from harm is a give. Relax. The dream-house is yours and it is friendly.
Hey Jude,
I love the "dreamlord" context. another fine dream brought to us by the dream master of the poetry world. What do you drink before going to bed? I want some of what you are having. I usually sleep on your poetry, but this one inspired me. I am sure that that "dreamlord is building you just the right home to support your shifting soul"...Come to Connecticut there are alot of houses just like the one you describe in your dream..perhaps it's time to get out of the city and live in the country...(just a thought).. off to dreamland myself, I shall try and write something about my dream tonight, I see lots of magic in the night sky tonight...
Sweet dreams, my dear friend, and sleep tight,
Peace, light and love,
Amber
