~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                   in bed falling into sleep
         when I suddenly begin to rise to the ceiling
                   it’s a bit scary but quite exhilarating
           because I know my astral body is on the move
                        but the rapid rise to the ceiling
       has knocked me back down
                    being naturally persistent
 I consciously repeat the feat
     controlling my fear this time
            and now I am far away
      very far, I didn’t even realize I had ascended
               but I am now descending just above the ground
                                  in an instant
         I see a herd of wild mustangs
               running across a grassy field
I meet the eyes of one horse
         looking up to me as though she senses something above her
       something has spooked the herd
                         to gallop as fast as their legs can carry them
         but she stops to look above
          snorting and raising her from legs into the air
                        she knows I’m there
        suddenly, I fall back into my body
                 with an intense physical synaptic shudder
               bouncing onto the mattress
             I open my eyes
                       tasting the dust of a far off land
                   as well as the sweet smell of sweaty horses
Surviving the eye to eye contact of a Mustang
is a feat within itself, as she looked into
your soul and considered you worthy!!! *Jude*
as is your poetry to dream on!!!!
I'm glad you are finally sharing the content of some of your dreams with us Jude. I recall you had many in the past that could have been made into movies.Dreams are the way God chose to communicate with His disciples,etc,and the Bible is filled with them. Some people don't realize how important dreams can be. Many leaders of countries have gone to war due to a dream,and many still conduct their business from ideas they have gleaned from dreams.
JUDE ...
I'M WITH KATE ... I RARELY DREAM, AND NEVER OF HORSES ...
IS NOT THE 'MUSTANG' A SYMBOL OF 'FREEDOM' ?
COULD THE MARE HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR HER 'STALLION'?
Interesting dream. I love the story of the Mustang and how they survived, thrived in the arid West. Wolves culled the weak, and over five hundred years each generation became stronger, more hardy, and more beautiful. A great resource for the plains occupants. I will mourn the day when they are all managed, like zoo animals. I just saw The Misfits. That was fifty years ago.
Amazing. I walk daily all of 500 yds onto the heath from my house here in Dorset just to smell this sweet, sweat smell from the 20 or so "wild" ponies that graze there; and to witness their "funny five minutes" at dusk when they suddenly get the gallops is absolutely mesmerising and overpowering: you wouldn't want to be in their path! It's one of the strongest smells I associate with my somewhat disrupted childhood and the one that brings me the most comfort, relief, happiness: a sense of "normalcy" and being cocooned (so strange that you attained it by somewhat "bizarre" methods!). Before reading other comments, I was already running with the disturbing images I have seen of beautiful mustangs being herded by helicopters for slaughter, so maybe, yes, the filly who espies you winging in is crying out for your help and protection? This very much feels like you have had to push through an unseen atmosphere or barrier to get there, likewise coming back "to earth" with a customary jolt at the end. Nice narrative here. xx
Simple, therefore the experience is easy to believe :-) Suggestion: Do some research on the mustang's in the way of sybolism and also if you know anyone that has understanding of the Medicine wheel find out what part of the wheel the Mustang can be found on. Then with this knowledge add your knowledge of the dream time and I suspect you will find a message :-)
Record this experience in a journal, don't forget to add whatever emotion your felt while having this experience, First fear and so forth.....
Was there a helicopter involved in all this, I mean you rising, the wild horses stampeding, that reminds me, you have a flight pass?
Far out man, bless ya!
Fantastic, Jude. Love this. I once traveled in a dream to a beautiful beach with the bluest of water. When I woke, there was beach sand in my bed down by my feet. I never could figure out how it got there. There was no sand where I lived.
Take care,
Sherry
Hey Jude, wow astral projection!!! I have done this myself. I looked up what your dream symbolizes here goes:
To see a horse in your dream symbolizes strength, power, endurance, virility and sexual prowess. It also represents a strong, physical energy. You need to tame the wild forces within. The dream may also be a pun that you are "horsing around". Alternatively, to see a horse in your dream indicates that you need to be less arrogant and "get off your high horse".
To see a black or dark horse in your dream signifies mystery, To see a herd of wild horses in your dream signifies a sense of freedom and lack of responsibilities and duties. Perhaps it may also indicate your uncontrolled emotions. If you are riding a wild horse, then it represents unrestrained sexual desires
so there it is...for you to digest and come up with your own interpretation...Personally, I believe that it is a message, telling you to live like there is no tomorrow, to run wild and free, and enjoy your life.
Hope you have a beautiful day, off to rehearsal for Beauty and the Beast!
Peace, light and love, Happy trotting!
In these dreams you do escape,
Wish I could go with you,
What a marvelous dream experience - visiting a herd of wild mustangs. Perhaps they need your help; we are even killing them off these very sad days.
