... and how she would love this! Thank God for the 700 or so saved but each of the 1500++ lost is a personal tragedy on an epic scale. My heart breaks with every fresh tale told... No sun, no moon... Kate xx

I have great fondness for Haiku. This one, too.--Diana
Living my whole life as a resident of Halifax, NS where the majority of the bodies were buried after the sinking we still remember this tragedy each year in plays, concerts, memorials and just visits to the gravesites...some still unnamed. When the grave markers were first planned out they were all to be uniform in size and quality and arrayed in the shape of a ships hull from stern to bow. With three different religious grave yards at the time they chose who would be buried where basically by their last names. EG: If they had a Irish name...Catholic, English...protestant etc etc. Anyway great ku that truly reflects the suddeness which the great ship went down and took so many to a watery death.

Hey Jude,
There has been a lot of hype these past few days about the Titanic..Inspiring words for sure...So much said with so few words, you have nailed it for sure.
I suppose the only saving grace is that they partied until the waves came crashing through. It must have been an amazing experience to have been aboard that magnificient vessel though a watery grave is not a prefered method of crossing over for me.
Take care,
