transforming memory

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
memories of decades
pulsate like separated hearts riding shoreless tides
circulating through arms and legs
like feathered cells
gliding through hologram tissues of detached air
I taste their origin and lymph of motion
filtering through neurons and synapses
coagulating marrow and idea
splitting particles
erasing any trace of recognition
memories
spreading sensors of nutritional alchemy
across dark matter
and glorious wormhole
reactivated
when waking bonds of hibernation
remain viable through tempered osmosis
hungry for redemption and the taste for blueprint skin
dreaming of advancing claws and fangs
seizing curtained windows of wonder
exposing light years of gas and dust
and infinite gaps in creation
transported by special spices
through ancient corridors of mystery
pollinating
fruits of unusual muscle and sweetness
memories yet born
shepherding
a garden on the sea
where the future has no roots but still manages to sail
To be able to map the tangible and intangible pathways of memory and to note the nature of its reproduction and subsequent impact is a challenging vocation, especially for a poet. Your words show me that, like myself, you too are being consumed by the process, more so, than what lies within any given cerebral filing system. But more importantly, you may be onto what it means when it comes to choosing your words very carefully. Your reflections are visible. M.True
There are memories that are best left behind or better yet - forgotten. But certain memories that shall forever linger within our hearts ... mind and soul ... Nice to read your post again. Its been awhile. Aloha
Hey Jude,
So much to take in. Some stellar verses resonate with me:
"reactivated
when waking bonds of hibernation
remain viable through tempered osmosis"
"shepherding
a garden on the sea
where the future has no roots but still manages to sail"
Amazing work, digging deeply within one's mind that part called memory, that which becomes blurred with aging, but yet still vivid enough to pull from, encouraging verses that manage to set my synapses afire! Amazing poetry as always, but you have been hibernating way toooooo long!!!!!
Welcome back, and stay awhile my dear friend.
Peace, light and love,
Amber
An amazing array of words linking primal understanding of “soul” to the latest scientific concepts, trying to make sense of the concept of memory.
It's always good to try to fathom your unique work.
Change is unique each time it occurs; the DNA carries on but the evolving continues in spite of it. Rebirth of Spring is a miracle to behold and a pattern for our own spiritual renewal. Lots of colorful verse, Jude, and plenty of impacting visuals in this excellent piece.
Take care and be well,
Sherry
jude, memories I always envisioned as segments of the past irretrievably lost in time. you have altered that perception with fresh thoughts and universes to pursue and test against a new premise. it is good to see your work and enjoy the fresh ideas. I wish you love and peace my dear
friend. Jon Michael
Neat journey of words. I like "glorious wormhole," "blueprint skin," "curtained windows of wonder," and greatly like "fruits of unusual muscle and sweetness," 'muscle' is a unique word to use. "...future has no roots..." is the topper for me in this one. ~~ Diana
