~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                  i.
when one’s thoughts
desist from living
surrounded by politics,
government and religion
bored to death by stars,
sports and musicians
by journalists, talking heads,
and of course, the forgiving
                   ii.
when one’s heart
boldly ventures into an unseen sight
and dreams of ways
to survive the night
it articulates
what few will ever show
the mind crossing over
to forget what it knows
Do we ever really know anything perfectly? I doubt it and that's why we need to sometimes scrap what we thought we knew and begin to learn again. Stunning work Jude.
a mind is a strange place to spend too much time
I keep evicting unwanted words crowding my space
within.....Peace be with you
Merry Christmas
My mind needs to cross over, but I fear what might be lurking there.
A force to be reckoned with, the power of the mind to tune in or out. Our emotional destiny dependent upon it. M.True
Very much like how you've wrought this, Kartero. Yes, the mind in isolation can make the world seem a lonely place as we feel ourselves to be locked into an alien existence. But the heart and mind in tandem, as you've figured it with ii (as opposed to just the i) can transform experience into a better world, not just for self but for others. When we're sick of the material global grind, we feel it's just 'me against the rest', but when we dream of something better, it is rarely of a world for ourselves alone and on our own, but one in which the way of everyone's life is fulfilled, content, happy. Head and heart together keeps life's circles moving forwards - a nice bit of philosophical figure skating here! And, on a personal note, this perfectly captures the inner and outer mind-scapes of Still Life that I was trying to capture and evoke; but I probably don't even need to tell you that. :) xx
All else is just noise when it comes to surviving the night. Fortunately, I'm sleeping well these days because I've unloaded a lot of garbage that kept me awake in the past.
May your future dreams be pleasant ones.
Hah! I'm of the age where I forget what I knew on a daily basis when I awaken in the morning.
Here's a thought. Quantum telepathy. The title suggests a deeper reality that things remain connected through time and space without communicating in any conventional way but the entanglement of minds of those with rare talents and divine gifts. 'Cross over' links to our existence that may very well be holographic projection. To dismiss something just because we don't have an explanation for it, "where the mind crosses over to forget what it knows" should be meditated upon by this poetry. Your moods in motion are expanding, Jude...perceptual and sensory.
Some things in life we can quite do without, and be happy in the knowledge of not knowing, blast the media for harassing the mind beyond its capacity. 200 yrs ago they didn't have to worry like we did, only those where they were at that time, over load is our lot, I'll happily not know!
Thank you Jude, awesome as always
Happy Holidays
Good to Read you again, been too long.
Hey Jude
The mind is very powerful it can do anything! Life as we know it
Can be altered in a heartbeat! It's all about free will and the desire to manifest change and growth. The world right now is pretty shitty and in turmoil but one can "cross over" and live as if that all does mot exist. Sort of in a zone of another time. I feel that whatever woks for the. Personal well being is right for that person Everyone has a tolerance for pain, patience, sympathy, love, hate, etc. the heart knows all it is the wise man that listens.
Much peace light and love,
Amber
jude, you surely joust... are you implying we ought to take the "u" out of "australia?"... or some other such "inner" space? ...I like to see it as forging the unknown... still, and all, I prefer the return journey, a bringing back from the unknown, to mesh the immaterial with the material and engage in a new knowing...
