~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
hit and run
get up and duck
before you become another outline
sprawled out on the deck
snuggled into the depths of this world’s rusting highway
swim away congested souls
tangled by speeding signs written
backwards from a broken rhyme
steering you from steep cliffs
from the yowl of death and fear
least not be worried
always watch where you’re headed
keep your seat belt on
and if you’re surrounded by godrails
don’t hesitate to jump into the storm
Hey Jude,
We all need a few godrails now and again. I have angels that protect me and keep me on track.
By the way, love the new photo, what a stogie!!! lol
Peace, light and love,
Amber
As always, you offer up some interesting and intriguing poetry.
and if you’re surrounded by godrails
don’t hesitate to jump into the storm
Once more we dive head first into the maelstrom of life?
This has an eerie resonance for me, having just returned from a week's conference in Woolwich - which I guess you may have heard something about owing to last year's appalling on-street massacre of Fusilier Lee Rigby. Travelling via east London's light railway to get there, one moment I was flying high above bizarre industrial docklands where I was dissolving in atrophy, the next I was hurtling at speed underground beneath the Thames where my whole being felt squeezed by entropy. My God, how grateful I was for those godrails that KEPT me from leaping, as it happens, eyes wide-shut! Uncanny as are the times, Senor. xx
Could use some of those "god rails" as I jump into life. Or as they say: "Hell-bent for leather and leave the devil behind."
I've got a golden parachute and multiple safety belts. That's no guarantee in this world, is it.
ominous warnings for the times...this is a perfect example of 'poetry in motion'
The steep cliffs and the yowl of death grabbed me and wouldn't let go. Wouldn't be surprised if I dreamed about it tonight.
Spiritual odyssey in a minefield of chaos...Bob Dylan lyrics...these are words that are Bob Dylan lyrical...social unrest - the times they are a changin'...and a hard rain's a gonna fall...references to an impending apocalypse in a scrap-parts dune buggy peppered by a sand storm blowin' in the wind...love your work Jude, moods in motion it never fails my viewfinder where a cinematic reel embeds in like minds...
