~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
when we finally leave
having said our good-byes
waving our hands off to the crowd
amassing by the shore
we will reflect upon how we handled
life’s mysterious travail
as our vessel leaves port shore jam-packed
smusing with other souls seeking clarity
and did we make all things worth while
and offer as much love as our souls allowed
or did we even care
to help those who were afraid and confused
where we aware they were waiting for our touch
did we yowl through the darkness
speaking with our minds so we all might see again?
when the light retunes and carries us away
on a vessel whispering to the stars
does our velocity help keep us all together
or do we leave and wander alone in a different direction
once again?
I like how you have framed your cosmic questions around the trappings of life's final transition. Some would say we will be forced to provide those answers or at least replay the decisions made. M.True
Hey Jude
I try not to dwell on what is going to happen. Rather like the here and now. Of course you say it all so poetically correct that now I will pay attention more carefully to what I am leaving behind eventually!
Always so good to read you!
Peace light. And love
It is the question we are all dying to learn the answer to, Jude. In the proper moment, the clarity will become part of us and there will be no more wondering about anything. We will have learned to trust our internal all knowing and we will soar in total freedom. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. It is what makes me feel right about what is to come.
Take care,
Sherry
I'm not sure what traveling at the speed of light will do to us, but it sure will be interesting, like your poem.
I hope, when I board that ship I will have peace, the peace I live with daily. After all, when that time comes we have lived how we have lived, so why belabor the fact?
