the September shore
gave me more than a sandbox to play in
or an ocean to keep afloat in
or huge waves to channel my of fears onto
it gave me moments of such perfect clarity
and moments of such sublime surrender
I gyrated internally between each wave
the September shore gave me the chance
to drift
on the tidal draw
while inhaling the salty, brisk, clear air
it became full of motion
while refreshing all my dreams
each emotional aftermath
became soothe and moist
and perfectly perceptible
the shore that always reinforced life and death
its stench imperceptible
through the final aroma
of late summer flowers
its driftwood remained
in a magnificent chain
a spectacular sculpture
drying under the sun
over-shadowing all that other objet d'art
gracing the September shore
Thank you for sharing.
It captures a mood
much like Sinatra singing The Summer Wind...
It seems that several poets here were psychically connected while writing their hearts out overlooking the sea.

I have to tell you, I feel such a lightness in this poem. I am not sure if you wrote it back in September, but I could feel those waves washing away all your worries and fears. The ocean does that to many.
I myself go to the shore often, no matter what season, in order to be revived. Something about the shore that really floats my boat and of course you are on that shore feeling all the positive energy flow through you like waves of salt water and sunshine...ummm I miss that!
Spring is coming, the shore is looking better and better!
Peace, light and love,
Amber
