~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
O exposed heart!
wounded
in its wilting flowered field
once delicately sewn together
in a tapestry of fragrant colors
now thirsty and gasping for air
once embellished by a corolla of scented petals
singing on an impetus of thriving soils
suddenly lay barren
and scarred by drought,
and the misfortune of dry angry winds
O impaired heart!
now behooved
to the desperate calling of nature’s damaged voice
fragmented and bleeding dry
losing its vibrancy and strength
deprived and saddened
by the absence of soul
O recovering heart!
find the strength to thrive once again
on the powers existing beyond us all
tapping into
providence rejuvenated
by the healing hands of creative form
Most compelling; your images emphasize a theme to which I can intimately relate. Thank you, Jude. Love and peace to you,
Hey Jude,
The heart is the lonely hunter, it will always rejuvenate itself, especially when the heart is pure and true.
Nicely done!
Peace, light, and love,
Amber
What a wonderful offering of the stages the heart goes through jude...
How it is drained, impaired and then taps into providence to once again be rejuvenated...
Your creative form of writing is unique and I always enjoy it..
Just wonderful...
Love and Light,
Lily
deprived and saddened,
by the absence of soul
Quite powerful, and sadly appropriate for both the human heart and the heart of mother nature today.
lovely poem. i remember one of the strongest typoons that struck our land, how it turned our luscious green mountains to mere branches of brown. it's beautiful that you bear witness, even at a distance, how it slowly turns back to its green luscious form.
That Corolla will not tip toe lightly through scented petals. ;-)
Your poetry soothes the dry and wounded heart.
Healing is something that one must do for oneself. I've had days I felt that I'm one against several others; but then I thought...Hhhmmm...Perhaps not? I would always try to talk myself out of the sorrow and the misery that I was feeling. Self-therapy is very important for oneself.
The progression is one that we repeat over and over as we search for that one that one perfect rose that has no thorns. Looking forward and refusing to look back with anything less than fondness for the good times is the only hope we have for realizing our dream. Nice work, Jude.
