~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
my world, my country,
my people
my planet and its divisive steeples
my dreamer’s foggy fate
to wander and keep awake
can render me gloomy
but certainly not doomy
the levels of fate
based on love and hate
the selfish hearts
and horrible lies
yet also crossing the earth and sky
are emancipated voices
of my world, my country,
my people
so my stars
so far away they’ll only be seen
when truth can no longer be deceived
Excellent. Just so truthful here. The levels of fate based on love and hate. I love that line.
Divisive steeples
Equals warring peoples
Perhaps fate is not so bad
And maybe the Greeks were right
The world we live in can be manipulated by the spoken word.
Ah, it is why I remove myself from all pretty much...
I am my own planet, surround myself with what I deem
important, for the rest is doom and gloom when you
look at how others are...
Those degrees of deception to self serve them self...
painful and grows old quickly...
Yet, we find our self observing so as not to be drawn
into it... That's my feeling...
You have a wonderful way of writing truth in how the world
is being viewed today... I think I need to get you out of the
Bronx and into nature :)
Love and Light,
Lily
We cannot help but speak with forked tongue. For deception is the rule and truth is hard to come by because truth never seems to bring us out of the gloom and into the light like deception does.
Powerfully sad, especially the last line.
No doubt this is sad but true. I'm gagging on the lies already!
Love ya!
this is the world that we live in. and continue living in.
We can only make the best of what was given to us material-wise. The sun, the moon, the stars, the sky...are the ones that govern our fates, and according to the astrologists, that is how we would react to love and hate.
Very interesting poem. Caring words. Alas, this is how it is. Let's make the best of it. Each in our own place. Grtz, D.T.
"plastic steeples" ... now there's a priceless phrase worthy of capturing pedophile priests posted on milk cartons, degrees of deception indeed. Love your stuff, Jude.
