~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
skullbee said it quite well
the outskirts of heaven is our world merging with hell
bombarded by a misguided urge of stability
collectively sharing finite moments of tranquility
we are atomic figurines rowing in a sea of dreams
sleeping like restless babies suspended above old men’s screams
our intelligence scattered in a lullaby of embryonic epochs
our voices submerged in a sea of symphonic blood
I can’t get his hum out of my head
I still can’t tell if he’s alive of dead
but I’m know he's constantly battling
an army of misaligned actions
within a hive he departed long ago
whose honey still covers his thoughts and actions
Can't tell you how exhausted these lines make me feel, such is their power of suggestion and depletion. Excellent, Kartero. I think there's a good reason why you 'can't get his hum out of' your 'head', though, don't you?! :) But I have absolutely no doubt at all that he's still alive and kicking up a little dust somewhere... Hey Jude,
Such beauty within these inspired lines.
So, if he's confused let him find a safe harbor to render those sea of dreams.
Love this one!
Peace, light and love,
Amber
the first line is the best - merging with hell. I've often said life on Earth is hell.
Great metaphorical write! I enjoyed this!
It's been some time since I've seen you rhyme. You conjure up much about that buzzing in your head and thoughts of your honey that often override.
Clever insight in this one.
You're lucky. My skullbee does not have honey covered thoughts.
When honey is poison
In some people's mind
Dead or alive doesn't matter
When the hive has gone blind
I have heard that the ones who break out of the hive are joining others desperadoes from different hives. What they are up to. Ahhh . . . Hate to guess.
We all face the results of misaligned actions once we leave the "hive". Your imagery used so well!
Love ya!
Perhaps it is all an illusion of our own making. Our struggle to know and our desire not to, our wish to be successful and our decision not to be. Chewy bite here, Jude.
...depicted..."outskirts of heaven is our world
merging wit hell"...once biblical imagery...
metaphorical state of mind...today's literal
dungeon of human hellish attitudes...
God Bless!
I love the metaphor and simile that you have created here... ...and the whole poem gives me (the reader) pause for thought. Well done, Jude. Love and peace to you,
Regis
