made my eyes groan

and stomach moan

made my ears scream

and fingers bleed

made my opinion

taste like silt

yet i still endeavor to define prosaisms

to these imps

unfortunately, perceptions are tilted

and my humble attempts have wilted

now they’re gone

back to the safety of the asylum

and I am left dismayed

trying to make sense of it all

telling myself

i should have known better

Yes! That asylum is often a blessing. Great write.

never accept the idea of "safety of the asylum" as an option...
poetry vs prose; round and round we forever go!
best wishes, jude.

... well, what do you expect of imps except mischief and mayhem, Kartero? Perhaps chronic fatigue is contagious: this sprite has certainly lost any sense of spriteliness for now, that's for sure. Du-oh, sawry, Bawss. :) Still, we 'old fatalists' keep on keeping on, as you know, and there's always the Liquorice Fish pond to go dangle your pole in, oh limp one... xx

I don't know what prosaicisms means, however felt the disappointment in this expression.

Numbskulls..old term but still true today. "Never try to teach a pig to sing, it wastes your time and annoys the pig."

That sounds like a real bummer Jude. I don't want to read into the poem what's not there, but it sounds like someone's been pulling you through a knothole sideways.

Wow!!!! I'm not sure what brought on this write, but hope the matter will be resolved very soon.

Yep, unfortunately I, also have attempted to understand the wherefores and the hereafters, and have for most of my creation. Still do, Jude, but as you say it's all gone to shit.

Internet sociopaths and sick sheep. That's all we need to know. The directions on the back of the box of de-wormer explain the quarantine to rid the disease. Whew there for awhile!(8 years). The pasture's "rekindling patience." Keep the erection away from the shepherd's hook!

Odd how events turn out. What ever the problem was let us hope it is now resolved.
