Such a visual and dramatic presentation of something we can all experience from time to time; feeling shackled and frozen in a frustrating impasse of being. The concept of stumbling on your own fettered footprints is starkly striking. xx

I kept finding myself saying out loud "that's amazing" as I stumbled up to the final stanza. Descriptions are perfect mind pictures that feel starkly prophetic.

One of your very best Jude, and that is saying a hell of a lot. Your words, your lines, your meaning, all converged within me and I found myself walking and talking and hearing what was being say. "fruitless ravines" What a WoW! two words. And cannot overlook the last three lines as something I believe we all do from time to time. I loved this poem, Poet.
