You've been in an accident and flashlights are all over the place and you are semi-conscious! This is the picture I get while reading your words, Jude. A "gurgle", eh?.......Serious!
Voices that speak and never share authenticity and intimacy evoke something that is intrusive. Are they real voices or the metaphor of a world that doesn't mean much to the author? To me, they could even be part of the noisy world of hypocrisy and judgmental talk that we protect ourselves from. Open to interpretation...

Very eerie and mysterious poetry here.
I see many aspects of your words.
What sticks out in my mind when I read this poem, is a slow moving energy tired of all the same stories that one is hearing.
Waiting to hear something hopeful and positive but still that unfilled gurgle.

I get the picture of someone in a deep coma trying to work their way out like through a dream. On the other hand, it could just be the loss of hearing like I'm experiencing where eventually I will see people's mouth move but only hear "distant psychobabble."
My brain has been hyperactive and overworked, as I receive every little noise that comes to me. It's hard to kick away the habit of insomnia, but I know your poem is not about insomnia.
There are some self-proclaimed life experts constantly giving life lessons in ttheir posts to attack and judge others, I only call their opinions as incoherent mumblings of the debris of their own daily thoughts. Poetry is not about that. I don't comment on those. I was told off by one never to comment on his work again, so I won't!

I call it a deafening hum or an incoherent mumbling, but gurgle works too. I really am tired of so much chatter, opinions passed off as truths and nothing worthy of chewing on. Good work, Jude. Nice to see one of yours posted again.
I agree with Regis, there is a lot to keep anyone up at night, just listen to the news; this broadcast however, is a communication well worth deciphering. Nice to see you posting
There is certainly much to think about as I read your verses here, Jude. I think this is the sort of "stuff" that keeps me awake at night, what I try to get away from as I have stated in my latest poem which I posted last evening. Thank you for sharing. Love and peace,
