I don't look at life as a dark dream. And hopefully will stay bright and open to the sunlight until death closes these eyes. But if you're writing clearly about how dreams sometimes known finish, fulfill or just plain die, I can relate to that. Would wish that one of these dreams die on the vine and the other finish in the light.
I dreamed that John Bolton was questioned at the impeachment trial. He gave a scathing, epithet filled, account of his loathing for the behavior of his boss, the commander-in-chief. I also dreamed that Donald Trump became my caregiver for a night. His care was predictable, when I called for his help, he always got one of his gay associates (like Howard Hughes's Mormons), to come and tend to me--too late. He could not serve, he could only be boss.
At some point the realization of our mortality becomes obvious to each of us. Reflections of the past become the fodder of our hopes and our regrets. Smooth and deeply pasdionate offering, Jude.
Hello, Bob, happy to see you writing off & on again and this is just the ticket for my morose mood tonight, giving me the desire to just sit here and think...getting old sucks as we start cruising downhill towards our eventual demise...-e-
Deep and very thought-awakening, Jude. I can relate to what you express. And my third grandchild just came into this life/world. Your verses make me think. Love and peace to you,
A further collection of poems, many from years in the Middle East, but also the California San Francisco and Central Coast areas (Santa Cruz, Carmel, Big Sur, Berkeley, etc.).
