Time ...

Tis a fleeting thing, yet all
at once it lingers so slowly
as it eeks by without so
much as a tick of the clock.

Each second feels like a lifetime
as the hands upon the face
rotate with presicion.

Finite ... yet infinite!

Each minute feels like an eternity
as the hands sweep by hour after
agonizing hour upon a slow day.

Tedious is time in its own despicable
way ... smashing our heads upon
the desks and then flinging us against
walls without so much as second thought.

Tick ..
... tock.

Over and over it plays like a record
that is scratched and repeats incessantly.
