Nemesis

With innocence, oblivious, I take my leave
With God's hand on enchanting seas, I sail inspired
With exuberance, to fertile glens, I soar
exhilarated
With chesty rascals biting me, I'm crippled, and I falter.

With cute, but prudish tail, you wag, wag, growl, clown
With a lying eyes, you drivel, drool, slobber
With ignorance, you strut, mock, brag
With pride, you shit on others.

In savage, unruly, mean packs,
you run rampant
With dripping tongue and conquering attitudes,
you taunt, spin, spit, slim, crave, spin.

With harsh, ugly, raspy tongues,
you close greedy jaws to plot my demise
With spiteful, devious, hungry eyes,
you stalk me, grind me, deny me everything.

With subtle poison, you spray me with piss
With cowardice, you lie, lie, lie, -- panting
predators,
With pounding heart, you hide and scheme, --
waiting phonies
With anticipation, you hope I die, die, die, -- giggling viruses ...

With tales of gold, you sucker me into silky, sticky white webs
With demons, you lurk in sneaky black, white, yellow robes
With libelous, oily green jesters, you howl, bark, taint, defame
With razor teeth, you gobble and swallow my fleshy notions.

With modern malice, you say stare at the sun's seeping tears
With artful skill, you study my imperfections 'till affliction
With ancient angst, you encourage maggots and flies
With hyena armies, you violate me, in the Heartland.

With Adolph, Sadaam and Idi Amin, you identify
With their morals, you demand a fresh kill
With hints of sweet blood, you blind others to truth
With undue pride, conceited pretenders, you hide evil souls.

With a positive spin, you desecrate a brightly lit heart
With cruel plans, you paw out my hideous, hidden grave
With my jugular vein exposed, you throb beyond appetite
With felonious bites, you devour another, one of your own.

With a standing golden-trimmed sun,
you be vultures' twisted cohorts
With a weakening sun,
you be hellish, damn'd knights.

With 666 zillion jagged-edged stones,
you be repress'd hatred
With 666 zillion sharp-cragged razored tongues
you be wicked, murderous, treacherous privations.
With 999 zillion trillion needless lies,
you be the fabric that causes universal calamity.

With God's love, I see wrath waning
With devout-patience, I uplift my wet eyes
With Peter's gift, I add love to hope, a foundation
With divine intervention, miracles, I take my leave.

With confidence, fallow the unlit path, shallow all fear
With devout prayer, I shall survive, thus I prosper
With lustrous light, absurd the agony, thus I prevail
Turn around, God's watching! I'm your surprise!

FACT: Idi Amin: In the 1970s and 1980s Uganda was notorious for its human rights abuses and genocide, first during the military dictatorship of Idi Amin from 1971 to 1979 and then after the return to power of Milton Obote, who had been ousted by Amin. ==>>> During this time up to half a million people were killed in state-sponsored violence.

Idi Amin who committed genocide to control his people, they say, was insane because of syphilis. (Many believe Hitler had syphilis also.) Sadaam, well, Sadaam "is" just Sadaam!

Peter - is from the bible.

My 1st thought for today: Be still and know, love will survive. God is love.

My 2nd thought for today: Doesn't what we do, and don't do ( and allow to happen ) define who we really are?

My 3rd thought for today: If Heaven had tears, how would they feel and where would they fall? Who would hear them, and more importantly, who would care?

PS - This poem was called: Nemesis, I Take My Leave

- I'm glad I got this one out of my system.

(achoo)--"Bless you!" I am glad you got it out as well. I love your creativity and thought process and the tension in it. "With hyena armies"---YOU SMACKED SOMEONE --and HARD! I love it when you write this way. I know you don't maybe...lol, but I do. I'll never forget the Gestapo reference in your other poem. You ALWAYS leave these imprints of images that knock me off my arse! Then later I think to myself, "Why didn't I think of that?!!!" To call this Nemesis was absolutely brilliant. Fits quite well. Your "666" and "999" references---priceless! I never know how to review it without leaving you a book :)--Well, as long as you know I liked it..ALOT..lol.

I love reading a good piece of activistic-like poetry! If only more people had your wisdom... the world might just be a better place.

Thank You,
Teresa Emilie
