Not much going on here

I'm not so slowly, losing my mind.

My sleep schedule is completly f***ed. Cant sleep at night

During the day, we do what we have have to

than when we get done I rack out and sleep through lunch and dinner

The days blend together

I woke up this afternoon and couldn't remember when the last time I took a shower was...

took me awhile to remember

I just took one last night. Short timers mentality is taking over

in the team, noone cares anymore.

We just want this next month to fly by

This deployment has been one big let down after another, and

thats not just me talking

Funny story

(we were coming back from Fallujah a day or 2 ago maybe yestarday, like I said, shit all blurs together). .

Well we are almost back to home base, I'm up in my turret as usual, sitting behind the 240G machine gun. All of the sudden, "POP!".!". I thought a sniper had punched a hole through the side of the hummve

. My driver and Vehicle commander think a sniper punched a hole through my head"

"NAS are you OK?"...."yea i'm fine."..."NAS

what the f*** was that?"......."I have no idea"...."NAS are you good man?". I'm up in my

turret scanning around looking for someone to kill,

but only half heartedly, because I'v realized by now that when a sniper takes a shot at you, your probably never going to figure out where it came from

Well after 2 minutes of this, we figure out what the noise was

apparently Fletcherman, my driver, had his ciggerete lighter sitting on the console in the truck, well I guess the heat from the engine plus the temperature outside

heated it up, and POP. I was kind of disapointed

though, it would have been cool to get back to base and find a 7.62mm round sticking out

of the side of the truck

Ok well thats about it.

I'm sitting on radio watch again. Noone is outside of the wire, so there is noone on the other end of the radio,

 but I'm still here listening just in case

......you know how that goes.
