On the road to Bethlehem,
I fell into a crater deep,
A mom and child did weep,
Huddled close with fear,
Each other oh so near,
Shelter they had sought,
God’s wrath upon them was,
He showed his anger thus,
I reached my hand to soothe,
Yet afraid they were of Jews,
Food and water did I bring,
Ezekiel bread, and wine,
Yet both they would decline,
With wetted cloth their fevered eye,
Gently would apply,
What brought you here I did inquire,
Silenced voices spoke so clear,
Our home was near,
Not far away upon a time,
Shelter would decline,
A ditch, a barn, or barren field,
A land that God had made,
But not has seen of late,
Yet these two children his,
He also then would miss,
The tribes that wandered desert land,
There they where in fear and freight,
Hiding from each others sight,
While God their only aim,
To him bring so much shame,
In Bethlehem there stands a church,
A temple build to God own Son,
There where his life begun,
Preached love and brotherhood,
It’s time they understood.

If only we could all understand.
A very interesting approach and angle here, original and thoughtful. I like where you go with this.

Very interesting story. Just shows that if one goes to God, there is no more fear.
