What did she hold this symbol?

A beautiful sculpture from France,

As a gift in New York’s harbour,

Like the bell of liberty forever it would toll,

In the hearts of millions,

From home, and all across the world,

A beacon of hope,

While of oppressed where billions,

It seems changed, the light,

Less bright, and comforting,’

To those still wandering in the dark,

It was a glorious sight,

Hiding is this glorious shine,

Covered by a dark halo,

It can’t be seen, by those oppressed,

But yet, there was a time,

Is there another place like this?

That was ever known,

Now the statue frowns

She lost her virgin bliss,

The land of the brave and free,

Heroes where they, once upon a time,

Scorched the earth of tyrants then,

For the land of liberty,

Now it’s only like the other,

It’s better red than dead,

So it seems to me,

Why in heavens name then bother,

You made the choice dear folk,

It says from others you had help;

Be that as it were,

You broke the egg, the yolk,

But so many, so many, of sorts,

A multitude of all,

The rah, rah, rah, the speeches,

Their sanity then did aboard,

And now, the judges of the term,

Their own two cents express,

When they the laws address,

Will then, the liberties in truth they germ?

In wisdom and in trust, a writ an accord,

Freedom from all these things oppressed,

Thousands came to your shores, and millions,

Was it only for a sport?

Have you not relations, there in lands oppressed,

Like children they hide from the dark,

Underneath a blanket, cover,

Of that light, they were possessed,

Is it as is said, I am ok jack,

I am now American, forget about the past,

I wonder if those, of freedom wrote the constitution,

Not give those all a blast,

Is it not written, we hold,,,,,

Hand over our hearts,

God with us,
