Dale, many artists are rejected, some are ahead of their times, some are just too unique or have something many fear to hear ... so i wouldn't sweat it ... write on!

Clever and spot-on write, Dale. Yup, we know in our heads that the favour and appreciation of others shouldn't be THAT important to our own self-esteem, but it sure niggles when we know for certain that we have "missed the mark" somehow... could track the cyclical wheels turning and trackin with these thoughts, goin round and round in the brain, somehow. But isn't that just how it is? We need to keep working these things through until we have worked them right OUT of our system, so that they no longer have any "sting" left in them? Your writes are always penetrating and totally real. TY Kate xx

This is the attitude to take. Thank you, Dale. Rejection is hard to take, but there's a song with a lyric that goes, "If you trim yourself to fit the world, there won't be nothin' left but a pile of shavings". Each of us is unique. How do we expect to fit in their box, be the current example of the prevailing political agenda or be the next flavor of the month?
