You have chosen the most magnificent title for the most powerful poem, Dale. The Vanquished carries such weight and gravitas and almost sounds like what it means. The repeated ideas and phrases also lend emphasis like "The House That Jack Built", or, in this case, woefully destroyed. Final three lines right between the eyes. Wonderful, but terrible. Beautiful expressive work Dale! It is a sad lament in a way,yet I'm so thankful for the memories, and hopes that they may be revived in future years when people have learned what they abused and stop doing so.
