Blue-eyed Wonder

a blue-eyed wonder
in a warm slumber
after a red-eye flight
dreams gentle dreams
about vague awakenings
drifting into black and white

a breezy enlightenment
whispering enchantments
about gentle night

a peachy sunrise
slowly rising dawn
a one-eyed respite
softly opening petals
capturing the morning dew
drinking in sweet light

a brown-eyed sparrow
flies across the lines
singing a morning song
about that green-eyed delight
appearing in the sun

a blue-eyed wonder
in quiet sleepy laughter
after a red-eyed night

This is just lovely; I agree with Amber's description: "soothing." Love your word choices. Reading it aloud, it is music to the ear and to the heart.
