This poets heart was broken
You’ve captured a piece of it
You held it in your hand
It beats in your embrace
whispers softly to your soul
Can’t you hear the love?
The muse is speaking to you
It rhymes in your mind
giving you sweet passion
It’s just a piece
If You could hold
this poets heart
and feel it against your breast
It’s beating strong
It’s in your loving care
This poets heart is yours
His muse is at your command
what lovely thoughts, Dale... that the shattered pieces of a poet's heart live on in the loving care of whomsoever will treasure their pulse and living beat in their hands. One dear heart shattered leads to many careful hands being full to overflowing... :)) xx
I love how you make the reader feel that you are talking to them! It is a very lovely sentimental poem, Dale, I really was touched.
Much peace, love, and light,
