Mystic

The old man was a talkative sort, he bellowed
out his remarks enunciating each and every syllable
accenting the important parts or the asides with a point
a tale he told of noble deeds of setting free the uncouth
The old man spoke of times begone and incredible
the knights and barbarians, great epic battles of savagery
accentuating the old mans boisterious tale of bravery
a heroes welcome home and a long winded fable
The old ways were followed by the rebellious youth
who couldn't grant a reprieve or any kind of cure
you knew of that, which probably was his bravest act
The old oaken chair in which he sat upon so youthfully
as he recalled the holy oath and bloody pact
where good overcame evil and righteousness was king
The olden days of knights and honor and a round table
the mystic days of Camelot and the good King Arthur
The old man recalled his life among these myths
of youths fleeting nature and the temptation of dishonor
his life revolved and he aspired of a sweet paradise
where truth prevails and the righteous shall anoint
The old man who spoke of the blessings of his life
and did not fear death or speak of the agonizing strife
where pure truth, happiness and joyous thunder shall arise
and the wicked shall perish leaving only the righteous
