The laughing mountains
shadow the piney woods
with platitudes of love
The hidden beasts
watch the children
running away
The eyes that watch
are curious ones
The fog envelopes wildness
in earthen silence
They watch the flowers
grow in meadows
fragrance flows
The air is clean and clear
to smile upon this dawn
A breeze whispers
to dew covered leaves
The laughing mountains
hide the sun
which continues it’s journey
to shine upon
The children’s games
while they run and play
The afternoon showers
sprinkle the woods lightly
The beasts sip the rain
The tears that fall
from the closing
of another day
As the tears dry
light fades away
into twilight
to guide the stars
The children sleep
as the moon arises
Lovers embrace
in the shimmering silver
light of the full moon
with platitudes of love
As night falls upon us
The beasts come out
to dance and play
The laughing mountains
shadow the lovers’ fervor
with consummate passion

Dale..your powers of observation are astute indeed..many miss what is right under their noses..the blade of grass the majestic mountain..the animal..thankyou for reminding us to take note of the wondrous world around us...the beauty of the blue planet and all that is on,in and above her...
