Pulse...

The moment the moon light
Peeked into our window
You were awash
A thought appeared
Momentarily a second paused,
Between heart beats
Pulse...

The clutter, the stars
The river of light, the flow
A lapse of memory
Becoming more frequent

An ego inflated
With all sorrows
Thinking of tomorrows
Or yesterdays

What action is taken?
When the clock alarm goes off

Was that restful?

All the endless dreams
All the pauses of night
The heartbeat slows
A pulse to recompose
Reenergize the ego
To carry all the vanities
Which clouds the mind
Masking true happiness
With the sad veil
Covers up the blissful relief
Clots the blood
Hardens the arteries
Flow is blocked
Blood pressure rises
The clock alarm goes off

What sweet sleep?

The moment the sunlight
Peeks into the window
Thoughts become active
Turning the second
Moves quickly
Heart beats faster
Pulse strengthens
The day lengthens
An ego inflates
To carry the clutter
Of all the mindless sorrow
Dreams of tomorrow

The sliver of light
Becomes a flood
The blood is awash
This is your day
This moment, this motion
All the uncertainties
All the insecurities
The heart beats
Pulse...

Wow, Dale, wonderful piece, sad, haunted, almost surreal, yet, it seems so real... Love it! :)

Dale,
There is a very distinctive voice in your work,
it touches darker sides with
subtle and soft undertones! I like this!

Hugs,
Maria
